Bom Dia - 08/10 🇧🇷Liturgia Diária 🇺🇸Daily Liturgy

Pedi e recebereis; procurai e encontrareis; batei e vos será aberto.
Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.

1a.Leitura
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading the letter from St. Paul to the Galatians 3,1-5 - 1O foolish Galatians, who fascinated you? Was it not before your eyes that Jesus Christ was crucified? 2 Only this do I want to know about you: did you receive the Spirit by practicing the Law or by faith through preaching? Are you that foolish? To the point that, after you started with the spirit, you want to end with the flesh? 4 Was it in vain that you suffered so much? If it was in vain! 5 Does he who generously gives you the Spirit and perform miracles among you do this because you practice the Law or because you believed through preaching? - Word of the Lord.

Salmo Lc1
Assim mostrou misericórdia a nossos pais, / recordando a sua santa Aliança.

Psalm Lk1
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, / because he visited and liberated his people!
1. He brought forth a powerful savior / in the house of David, his servant, / as he had spoken through the mouths of his saints, / the prophets since ancient times.
2. To save us from the power of enemies / and from the hand of all who hate us. / So he showed mercy to our parents, / remembering his holy Covenant.
3. And the oath to Abraham, our father, / to grant us that, freed from the enemy, / to him we may serve without fear, † in holiness and justice before him, / as long as our days last.

Evangelho

Gospel
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 11,5-13 - At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 5 “If one of you has a friend and comes looking for him at midnight and says to him: 'Friend, lend him give me three loaves of bread, 6because a friend of mine arrived on a trip and I have nothing to offer you ', 7and if the other responds from within:' Don't bother me! I have already locked the door, and my children and I are already in bed; I cannot get up to give you the bread ', 8 I declare to you: even if the other person does not get up to give you because he is your friend, he will get up at least because of his impertinence and will give you as much as necessary. 9Therefore, I say to you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. 10For he who asks receives; who seeks, finds; and for those who knock, it will open. 11 Will any of you who are a father, if your son asks for a fish, give you a snake? 12Or, if you ask for an egg, will you give him a scorpion? 13 Now if you, who are evil, know how to give good things to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! ” - Word of salvation.

To think about
To ask for something insistently can mean real need. When we ask, we recognize our lack and insufficiency. In the field of human relations, this method works most of the time. There is even an idea that, among us, seventy percent of our orders are fulfilled. Now, Jesus applies the image of human behavior to teach us how God stands in relation to our requests. He is a merciful Father and is attentive to the needs of his sons and daughters. "Ask ... seek ... knock" and the Father will answer you. The Holy Spirit is the great gift that God gives us, as we need lights, guidance, insight in our lives. The Holy Spirit will come to our aid, as we do not know what to ask for (cf. Rom 8,26-27).

To Pray
