23 Out: Bom Dia 🇧🇷 Liturgia Diária / Oct 23: Good Morning 🇺🇸 Daily Liturgy

Why don't you judge for yourselves what is right?

1a.Leitura
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading the letter of St. Paul to Ephesians 4,1-6 - Brothers, 1, a prisoner in the Lord, I urge you to walk according to the vocation you have received: 2 with all humility and meekness, bear with one another patiently, in love. 3 Apply yourselves to guard the unity of the spirit by the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to hope. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who reigns over all, acts through all and remains in all. - Word of the Lord.

Salmo 23/24

Psalm 23/24
So is the generation of those who seek your face, / O Lord, God of Israel.
1. The Lord belongs to the earth and what it contains, / the whole world with the beings that populate it; / because he made it firm on the seas / and, on the waters, he keeps it steadfast.
2. "Who will go up to the mountain of the Lord, / who will remain in his holy habitation?" / “Whoever has pure hands and an innocent heart, / Whoever does not direct his mind to crime.
3. Upon this descends the blessing of the Lord / and the reward of his God and savior. ” / “This is how the generation of those who seek him / is and the God of Israel seeks the face.”

Evangelho

Gospel
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 12,54-59 - At that time, 54Jesus said to the crowds: “When you see a cloud coming from the west, you immediately say that rain is coming. And so it happens. 55When you feel the southern wind blowing, you immediately say it will be hot. And so it happens. 56Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the aspect of the earth and the sky. How is it that you do not know how to interpret the present tense? 57Why don't you judge for yourselves what is right? 58When, therefore, you go with your adversary to present yourself before the magistrate, try to resolve the case with him while you are on the way. Otherwise he will take you to the judge, the judge will hand you over to the guard, and the guard will throw you in jail. 59I tell you, then you will not leave until you pay the last penny ”. - Word of salvation.

To think about
Of course, the crowds of Jesus' time had knowledge and experience about the movements of the seasons. However, they remained unaware of a great phenomenon: Jesus and his work of salvation. It was impossible not to feel the transformation that the Master had been causing in people and society. His presence was accompanied by many different signs: “The blind recover their sight and the lame walk; lepers are purified and deaf hear; the dead are raised and the poor receive the Good News ”(Mt 11,5). New times. The world is renewed through the merciful work of God. In the face of the naked truth, it is necessary to decide. Intelligent attitude is to be reconciled with God and with others, while there is time; otherwise, there is a pending issue until “the last penny” is paid.

Para assistir - To watch

To Pray
Lord Jesus, your fellow citizens knew how to interpret the movements of nature. However, they ignored God's time, precisely when you were carrying out the works of the Father in their midst. Make us, Lord, sensitive to the manifestations of God in our lives, to be converted while there is time. Amen.
