If you want, you have the power to cleanse me. Jesus said: it's clean.

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Gênesis 17,1.9-10.15-22
Reading the book of Genesis-1 Abram was 99 years old when the Lord appeared to him and told him: "I am God Almighty. Come on in my presence and be perfect ". 9 God said to Abraham: "Guard my Covenant, you and your offspring forever. 10 This is my Covenant which you must observe, Covenant between me and thee and thy seed future: every man among you shall be circumcised ". 15 God said to Abraham: "to your wife, Sarai, I haven't called Sarai, but Sarah. 16 I will bless her and also give you a son. I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of Nations, and Kings of her people will leave. " 17 Abraham bowed down with his face to the ground and started laughing, saying to himself, "is a man of a hundred years is going to have a child and that, to 90 years, Sara will give birth?" 18 and to God, said: "if only Ishmael might live in your presence". 19 God said: "actually, it's Sara, your wife, that will give you a son, and thou shalt call Isaac. With him I will establish my Covenant, an Alliance for life for your offspring. 20 Answer to your request, too, about Ishmael. I will bless and become fruitful and extremely numerous. Will be father of twelve princes, and I will make of him a great nation. 21 But, as far as my ring, I will establish with Isaac, the son that Sara will give you next year, by this time ". 22 Having finished speaking with Abraham, God withdrew. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho - Mateus 8,1-4

Gospel - Mateus 8,1-4
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew-1 Having Jesus descended the Hill, numerous crowds followed him. 2 Behold, a leper came over and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, if you want, you have the power to cleanse". 3 Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said: "it's clear". At the same time, the man was cured of leprosy. 4 then Jesus said to him: "look, I don't say anything to anyone, but will show you the priest and make the offer that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho
Fique purificado’ ”.

Reflecting the Gospel
Jesus cause a turnaround in the company of your time. Lepers were carrying the weight of the religious and social marginalisation. For your impure condition, and as what is taught in the synagogue, they thought they were excluded from access to the Kingdom of God. One of those unfortunate realizes in Jesus the predilection for the abandoned, the manifestation of the goodness of God, the fulfillment of the promise of liberation of the oppressed. Breaks the barrier and shortens the distance that separates the Master, which favors the approach and answer the request: "stretched out his hand and you touching him, Jesus said, ' I want. Be cleansed. ' " Around Jesus buzzing life, evil retreats, breaks out the new world: it is the date of the mercy of God with faith.
