Pai nosso que estás nos céus.

Our father who art in heaven.

1a.Leitura -  2 Coríntios 11,1-11

Leitura da segunda carta de são Paulo aos Coríntios – Irmãos, ¹ oxalá pudésseis suportar um pouco de insensatez da minha parte. Na verdade, vós me suportais. ² Sinto por vós um amor ciumento semelhante ao amor que Deus vos tem. Fui eu que vos desposei a um único esposo, apresentando-vos a Cristo como virgem pura. ³ Porém receio que, como Eva foi enganada pela esperteza da serpente, também vossos pensamentos se corrompam, afastando-se da simplicidade e pureza devidas a Cristo. ⁴ De fato, se aparece alguém pregando outro Jesus, que nós não pregamos, ou prometendo outro Espírito, que não recebestes, ou anunciando outro evangelho, que não acolhestes, vós o suportais de bom grado. ⁵ No entanto, entendo que em nada sou inferior a esses “superapóstolos”! ⁶ Mesmo que eu seja inábil na arte de falar, não o sou quanto à ciência: eu vo-lo tenho demonstrado em tudo e de todas as maneiras. ⁷ Acaso cometi algum pecado pelo fato de vos ter anunciado o evangelho de Deus gratuitamente, humilhando-me a mim mesmo para vos exaltar? ⁸ Para vos servir, despojei outras Igrejas, delas recebendo o meu sustento. ⁹ E quando, estando entre vós, tive alguma necessidade, não fui pesado a ninguém, pois os irmãos vindos da Macedônia supriram as minhas necessidades. Em todas as circunstâncias, cuidei – e cuidarei ainda – de não ser pesado a vós. ¹⁰ Tão certo como a verdade de Cristo está em mim, essa minha glória não me será arrebatada nas regiões da Acaia. ¹¹ E por quê? Será porque eu não vos amo? Deus o sabe! – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho - Mateus 6,7-15

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: ⁷ “Quando orardes, não useis muitas palavras, como fazem os pagãos. Eles pensam que serão ouvidos por força das muitas palavras. ⁸ Não sejais como eles, pois vosso Pai sabe do que precisais, muito antes que vós o peçais. ⁹ Vós deveis rezar assim: Pai nosso que estás nos céus, santificado seja o teu nome; ¹⁰ venha o teu reino; seja feita a tua vontade, assim na terra como nos céus. ¹¹ O pão nosso de cada dia dá-nos hoje. ¹² Perdoa as nossas ofensas, assim como nós perdoamos a quem nos tem ofendido. ¹³ E não nos deixes cair em tentação, mas livra-nos do mal. ¹⁴ De fato, se vós perdoardes aos homens as faltas que eles cometeram, vosso Pai que está nos céus também vos perdoará. ¹⁵ Mas, se vós não perdoardes aos homens, vosso Pai também não perdoará as faltas que vós cometestes”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Mateus 6,7-15

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 7 "When you pray, do not use too many words, as do the heathens. They think that they shall be heard by virtue of many words. 8 do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before that ye bask him. 9 you must pray like this: our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; 10 Thy Kingdom come; thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven. 11 give us this day our daily bread give us today. 12 Forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. 13 and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. 14 in fact, if you forgive men faults they committed, your father in heaven will also forgive you. 15 but if you do not forgive men, your father will not forgive the sins you have committed. " -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho  

Não são as orações recheadas de palavras que comovem o coração de Deus. Isso, aliás, o aborrece, pois Ele conhece em profundidade a nossa vida e as nossas necessidades. Ao nos ensinar o Pai-nosso, Jesus nos convida a entrar no universo da gratuidade e do perdão. Começa-se adorando ao Pai e pedindo-lhe o principal, que é a vinda do seu Reino e o cumprimento de sua vontade. Depois lhe pedimos por nossas necessidades humanas: o pão, o perdão e a salvação. Jesus insiste sobre a necessidade de perdoarmos. Deus nos dá o seu perdão desde que nós perdoemos. A palavra “pai” ilumina toda a oração do Senhor: é a palavra que brotava da profundidade infinita do coração do Filho e aflora nos lábios dos novos filhos de Deus, que precisam esquecer-se de si mesmos e buscar unicamente o Pai e seu Reino.

Reflecting the Gospel

Eu agradeço a Deus de todo o coração,  junto com todos os seus justos reunidos! Que grandiosas são as obras do Senhor,  elas merecem todo o amor e admiração! Que beleza e esplendor são os seus feitos! Sua justiça permanece eternamente! O Senhor bom e clemente nos deixou a lembrança de suas grandes maravilhas. Suas obras são verdade e são justiça, seus preceitos, todos eles, são estáveis, confirmados para sempre e pelos séculos, realizados na verdade e retidão. (Salmo 110/111).

Praying  
I thank God with all my heart, with all your righteous gathered. That great are the works of the Lord, they deserve all the love and admiration. That beauty and splendor are their deeds. His righteousness remains forever. The good Lord and Clement left us the memory of his great wonders. His works are truth and justice are, their precepts, all of them, are stable, confirmed forever and forever, in truth and righteousness. (Psalm 110/111).
