É estreita a porta e apertado o caminho que leva à vida!

1a.Leitura -  Gênesis 13,2.5-18

Leitura do livro do Gênesis – ² Abrão era muito rico em rebanhos, prata e ouro. ⁵ Ló, que acompanhava Abrão, também tinha ovelhas, gado e tendas. ⁶ A região já não bastava para os dois, pois seus rebanhos eram demasiado numerosos para poderem morar juntos. ⁷ Surgiram discórdias entre os pastores que cuidavam da criação de Abrão e os pastores de Ló. Naquele tempo, os cananeus e os ferezeus ainda habitavam naquela terra. ⁸ Abrão disse a Ló: “Não deve haver discórdia entre nós e entre os nossos pastores, pois somos irmãos. ⁹ Estás vendo toda esta terra diante de ti? Pois bem, peço-te, separa-te de mim. Se fores para a esquerda, eu irei para a direita; se fores para a direita, eu irei para a esquerda”. ¹⁰ Levantando os olhos, Ló viu que toda a região em torno do Jordão era por toda parte irrigada – isso antes que o Senhor destruísse Sodoma e Gomorra –, era como um jardim do Senhor e como o Egito, até a altura de Segor. ¹¹ Ló escolheu, então, para si a região em torno do Jordão e foi para o oriente. Foi assim que os dois se separaram um do outro. ¹² Abrão habitou na terra de Canaã, enquanto Ló se estabeleceu nas cidades próximas do Jordão e armou suas tendas até Sodoma. ¹³ Ora, os habitantes de Sodoma eram péssimos e grandes pecadores diante do Senhor. ¹⁴ E o Senhor disse a Abrão, depois que Ló se separou dele: “Ergue os olhos e, do lugar onde estás, olha para o norte e para o sul, para o oriente e para o ocidente: ¹⁵ toda essa terra que estás vendo, eu a darei a ti e à tua descendência para sempre. ¹⁶ Tornarei tua descendência tão numerosa como o pó da terra. Se alguém puder contar os grãos do pó da terra, então poderá contar a tua descendência. ¹⁷ Levanta-te e percorre este país de ponta a ponta, porque é a ti que o darei”. ¹⁸ Tendo desarmado suas tendas, Abrão foi morar junto ao carvalho de Mambré, que está em Hebron, e ali construiu um altar ao Senhor. – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho - Mateus 7,6.12-14

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: ⁶ “Não deis aos cães as coisas santas nem atireis vossas pérolas aos porcos, para que eles não as pisem com os pés e, voltando-se contra vós, vos despedacem. ¹² Tudo quanto quereis que os outros vos façam, fazei também a eles. Nisto consiste a lei e os profetas. ¹³ Entrai pela porta estreita, porque larga é a porta e espaçoso é o caminho que leva à perdição, e muitos são os que entram por ele! ¹⁴ Como é estreita a porta e apertado o caminho que leva à vida! E são poucos os que o encontram!” – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Mateus 7,6.12-14

Refletindo o Evangelho  

Não é prudente falar de Deus e do seu projeto de vida e libertação a pessoas que se julgam autossuficientes, que desprezam a religião e seus símbolos sagrados. Seria desperdício total. As coisas sagradas, dentre elas a Palavra de Deus, devem ser oferecidas a quem tem o coração aberto para acolhê-las com respeito. Jesus retoma a máxima chamada “regra de ouro”. Coloca-a em chave positiva: fazer aos outros o que desejaríamos que nos fizessem. Para praticar essa norma em todos os momentos, temos de prestar atenção à realidade do outro, colocar-nos no seu lugar, enfim, sair de nós mesmos. A caridade aqui é entendida como atitude de amor sem limite, sem esperar retribuição. Isso faz parte do “caminho estreito” pelo qual se supera o egoísmo e se alcança a salvação. Quando você dá as coisas de forma muito fácil para as pessoas, com tudo prontinho, aquela alma amortece, o vigor daquele coração estremece, porque não soube fazer o sacrifício nem precisou fazer o esforço necessário para vencer, para conseguir e ir adiante. Alargue o seu coração no amor, mas seja rigoroso, estreito com você na busca da santidade, do amor e na vivência do que é correto. Não vivamos as facilidades que o mundo nos oferece, porque muita facilidade é engano e ilusão para o nosso coração. Não percamos o senso do que é justo, verdadeiro e correto, mesmo que seja pouco e difícil, pois é ali que Deus está nos abençoando.

Reflecting the Gospel
It is not wise to talk about God and your life project and release the people who think they're self-reliant, who despise religion and its sacred symbols. It would be a total waste. When you give things very easy for people, with everything ready, that soul cushions, the force that heart shakes, because didn't know make the sacrifice didn't even have to make the effort needed to win, to achieve and get ahead. Extend your heart in love, but be strict, narrow with you in the pursuit of Holiness, love and experience than is correct. Don't live the facilities that the world offers us, because a lot of ease is deception and illusion to our heart. Don't lose the sense of what is fair, true and correct, even if it is little and difficult, since it is there that God is blessing us.

Senhor, quem morará em vossa casa?” † É aquele que caminha sem pecado e pratica a justiça fielmente; que pensa a verdade no seu íntimo e não solta em calúnias sua língua. Que em nada prejudica o seu irmão nem cobre de insultos seu vizinho; que não dá valor algum ao homem ímpio, mas honra os que respeitam o Senhor. Não empresta o seu dinheiro com usura † nem se deixa subornar contra o inocente. Jamais vacilará quem vive assim! (Salmo 13/14).
