Leitura do livro do Deuteronômio – Moisés falou ao povo, dizendo: 6 “Tu
és um povo consagrado ao Senhor teu Deus. O Senhor teu Deus te escolheu
dentre todos os povos da terra para seres o seu povo preferido. 7 O
Senhor se afeiçoou a vós e vos escolheu, não por serdes mais numerosos
que os outros povos – na verdade, sois o menor de todos –, 8 mas,
sim, porque o Senhor vos amou e quis cumprir o juramento que fez a
vossos pais. Foi por isso que o Senhor vos fez sair com mão poderosa e
vos resgatou da casa da escravidão, das mãos do faraó, rei do Egito. 9 Saberás,
pois, que o Senhor teu Deus é o único Deus, um Deus fiel, que guarda a
aliança e a misericórdia até mil gerações para aqueles que o amam e
observam seus mandamentos; 10 mas castiga diretamente aquele
que o odeia, fazendo-o perecer; e não o deixa esperar, mas dá-lhe
imediatamente o castigo merecido. 11 Guarda, pois, os mandamentos, as leis e os decretos que hoje te prescrevo, pondo-os em prática!” – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus – 25 Naquele
tempo, Jesus pôs-se a dizer: “Eu te louvo, ó Pai, Senhor do céu e da
terra, porque escondeste essas coisas aos sábios e entendidos e as
revelaste aos pequeninos. 26 Sim, Pai, porque assim foi do teu agrado. 27 Tudo
me foi entregue por meu Pai, e ninguém conhece o Filho, senão o Pai, e
ninguém conhece o Pai, senão o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho o quiser
revelar. 28 Vinde a mim todos vós que estais cansados e fatigados sob o peso dos vossos fardos, e eu vos darei descanso. 29 Tomai sobre vós o meu jugo e aprendei de mim, porque sou manso e humilde de coração, e vós encontrareis descanso. 30 Pois o meu jugo é suave e o meu fardo é leve”. – Palavra da salvação.

“Sábios e entendidos” são os líderes e poderosos, que se recusam a
reconhecer os caminhos de Deus. Eles não são humildes, não respeitam a
Deus. São insensíveis à revelação de Deus e defensores dos seus próprios
interesses. Não se dispõem a ouvir e praticar os ensinamentos de Jesus.
São autossuficientes. O termo “pequeninos” se refere à pequena
comunidade de discípulos que havia respondido ao chamado de Jesus (o
grupo dos apóstolos); mas, de modo geral, aplica-se a todos os que
acolhem a presença salvadora de Jesus e seu Reino. Jesus promete alívio
aos cansados e oprimidos. São os sobrecarregados pela vida sob o
controle dos dirigentes do povo e suas pesadas estruturas políticas,
sociais e econômicas. Tomar o “suave” jugo de Jesus é aceitar seu Reino,
assentado sobre a justiça.

The term "little people" refers to the small community of disciples who had answered the call of Jesus (the Group of apostles); but, in General, applies to all hosting the saving presence of Jesus and your Kingdom. Jesus promises relief to tired and oppressed. Are overwhelmed by life under the control of the leaders of the people and their heavy political, social and economic structures. Take the "soft" yoke of Jesus is to accept your Kingdom, seated about justice.

The Lord is forgiving, is favorable, is patient, is kind and compassionate. He does not treat us as require our faults or in pune in proportion to our sins. (Psalm 102/103).
