1a.Leitura - At 22,30; 23,6-11
Leitura dos Atos dos Apóstolos.

Naqueles dias, 30 querendo saber com certeza por que Paulo estava sendo acusado pelos judeus, o tribuno soltou-o e mandou reunir os chefes dos sacerdotes e todo o conselho dos anciãos. Depois fez trazer Paulo e colocou-o diante deles. 23,6 Sabendo que uma parte dos presentes eram saduceus e a outra parte eram fariseus, Paulo exclamou no conselho dos anciãos: “Irmãos, eu sou fariseu e filho de fariseus. Estou sendo julgado por causa da nossa esperança na ressurreição dos mortos”. 7 Apenas falou isso, armou-se um conflito entre fariseus e saduceus, e a assembleia se dividiu. 8 Com efeito, os saduceus dizem que não há ressurreição, nem anjo, nem espírito, enquanto os fariseus sustentam uma coisa e outra. 9 Houve, então, uma enorme gritaria. Alguns doutores da Lei, do partido dos fariseus, levantaram-se e começaram a protestar, dizendo: “Não encontramos nenhum mal neste homem. E se um espírito ou anjo tivesse falado com ele?” 10 E o conflito crescia cada vez mais. Receando que Paulo fosse despedaçado por eles, o comandante ordenou que os soldados descessem e o tirassem do meio deles, levando-o de novo para o quartel. 11 Na noite seguinte, o Senhor aproximou-se de Paulo e lhe disse: “Tem confiança. Assim como tu deste testemunho de mim em Jerusalém, é preciso que tu sejas também minha testemunha em Roma”

Evangelho - Jo 17,20-26

Naquele tempo, Jesus ergueu os olhos ao céu e rezou, dizendo: 20 “Pai santo, eu não te rogo somente por eles, mas também por aqueles que vão crer em mim pela sua palavra; 21 para que todos sejam um como tu, Pai, estás em mim e eu em ti, e para que eles estejam em nós, a fim de que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste. 22 Eu dei-lhes a glória que tu me deste, para que eles sejam um, como nós somos um: 23 eu neles e tu em mim, para que assim eles cheguem à unidade perfeita e o mundo reconheça que tu me enviaste e os amaste, como me amaste a mim. 24 Pai, aqueles que me deste, quero que estejam comigo onde eu estiver, para que eles contemplem a minha glória, glória que tu me deste porque me amaste antes da fundação do universo. 25 Pai justo, o mundo não te conheceu, mas eu te conheci, e estes também conheceram que tu me enviaste. 26 Eu lhes fiz conhecer o teu nome, e o tornarei conhecido ainda mais, para que o amor com que me amaste esteja neles, e eu mesmo esteja neles”.

Gospel - Jo 17,20-26

Refletindo o Evangelho 

Essa oração, essa prece que Jesus dirige ao Pai, vem do fundo da alma e do coração. Jesus conhece a todos nós, Ele conhece a nossa natureza humana marcada pelo pecado, pelo orgulho, pelo egoísmo, pela vaidade, e sabe que tudo isso, colocado para fora, é uma grande tentação para quebrar a unidade do Reino de Deus. O testemunho que Jesus nos dá com a Sua vida é um testemunho de amor, unidade e comunhão com o Pai. Não se faz unidade se não tiver amor nem comunhão! A comunhão é, de fato, comungar do mesmo sentimento, da mesma fé e do mesmo amor. Quando o amor está zelando por todas as coisas, direcionando todas as coisas, é possível construir a unidade. Agora, quando eu coloco as minhas vaidades, pretensões e razões, o meu ego acima de qualquer coisa, a unidade vai se quebrando, a comunhão vai se rompendo, as pessoas até vivem juntas, podem morar juntas, trabalhar juntas, rezar juntas, viver numa mesma igreja, professarem a mesma fé, mas quando a unidade é quebrada, as coisas se rompem. Com quem nós precisamos fazer unidade? Primeiro, com Deus, acima de tudo, viver uma profunda comunhão com Ele! Quem tem comunhão com Deus não semeia discórdia, separação e desunião. Quem tem comunhão com Deus rende-se ao Seu Espírito, é ele quem semeia, constrói e edifica a nossa unidade no corpo de Deus. Talvez a unidade pareça uma coisa de difícil compreensão, porque unidade parece que todos pensam e falam igual, não têm dificuldades nem divergências. Mas as divergências, os atropelos acontecessem, as dificuldades de comunicação de linguagem podem acontecer e acontecem, sem dúvida nenhuma. O mais importante não são os atropelos, as mágoas, ressentimentos ou todas as sequelas que ficam dos relacionamentos que não foram bem conduzidos. Tudo isso é um aprendizado, tudo isso concorre para o bem daqueles que esperam em Deus, porque o Senhor pega todas as coisas, até o caos para construir o mundo, edificar o universo. Ele também pega as nossas divergências, as nossas dificuldades e constrói a unidade do corpo de Deus. Não podemos ficar a serviço da desunião, da briga, da separação. Quem está unido a Jesus procura construir unidade onde Ele se faz presente.
