Vós sois como sepulcros caiados: por fora parecem belos, mas por dentro estão cheios de ossos de mortos e de toda podridão! 28Assim também vós: por fora, pareceis justos diante dos outros, mas por dentro estais cheios de hipocrisia e injustiça. 29Ai de vós, mestres da Lei e fariseus hipócritas! Vós construís sepulcros para os profetas e enfeitais os túmulos dos justos, 30e dizeis: ‘Se tivéssemos vivido no tempo de nossos pais, não teríamos sido cúmplices da morte dos profetas’. 31Com isso, confessais que sois filhos daqueles que mataram os profetas. 32Completai, pois, a medida de vossos pais!” – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 23,27-32 - At that time, Jesus said: 27 “Woe to you, teachers of the Law and hypocritical Pharisees! You are like whitewashed tombs: on the outside you look beautiful, but on the inside you are full of dead bones and all rot! 28You also: on the outside, you seem righteous to others, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and injustice. 29Woe to you, teachers of the Law and hypocritical Pharisees! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the tombs of the righteous, 30 and say: 'If we had lived in the time of our parents, we would not have been complicit in the death of the prophets'. 31 With this, you confess that you are the children of those who killed the prophets. 32Complete, therefore, the measure of your parents! ” - Word of salvation.

Muitas vezes, certamente, ficamos desiludidos com pessoas que aparentam uma coisa e na realidade são outra. Aos doutores da Lei e aos fariseus, Jesus aplica a imagem dos sepulcros belamente pintados com cal por fora, carregando, porém, em seu ventre, podridão e ossos. As autoridades religiosas, contemporâneas de Jesus, estão continuando o que faziam os seus antepassados.
To think about
Often, of course, we are disappointed with people who look like one thing and in reality are another. To the doctors of the Law and to the Pharisees, Jesus applies the image of the tombs beautifully painted with lime on the outside, carrying, however, rot and bones in his belly. Religious authorities, contemporary to Jesus, are continuing what their ancestors did.

420. É importante que a catequese esteja coordenada com as outras dimensões da pastoral da Igreja particular. Isto «não é um fato meramente estratégico, em vista de uma maior eficácia incisiva da ação evangelizadora, mas possui uma dimensão teológica de fundo. A ação evangelizadora deve ser bem coordenada porque tem como objetivo a unidade + da + fé, que, por sua vez, sustenta todas as ações da Igreja». A catequese tem uma relação estreita com a pastoral familiar, juvenil e vocacional, como também com a pastoral escolar e universitária. Mesmo se a ação pastoral da Igreja é mais ampla que a catequese, esta, por sua vez – em virtude da sua função iniciática –, vivifica-a e torna-a fecunda. A acentuação querigmática e missionária da catequese no tempo atual favorece a conversão pastoral e, portanto, a transformação missionária da Igreja.

420. It is important that catechesis is coordinated with the other dimensions of pastoral care for the particular Church. This “is not merely a strategic fact, in view of the greater incisive effectiveness of evangelizing action, but it has a fundamental theological dimension. Evangelizing action must be well coordinated because it aims at the unity + of + faith, which, in turn, sustains all the actions of the Church ». Catechesis has a close relationship with family, youth and vocational ministry, as well as with school and university ministry. Even if the Church's pastoral action is broader than catechesis, this, in turn - by virtue of its initiatory function -, enlivens it and makes it fruitful. The kerigmatic and missionary accentuation of catechesis at the present time favors pastoral conversion and, therefore, the missionary transformation of the Church.
