Evangelho
Quem puder entender, entenda”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel
Accept the Word of God not as a human word, but as a message from God, which it is, in truth! (1Ts 2.13) - Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 19.3-12 - At that time, 3 some Pharisees approached Jesus and asked, to try him: “Is it permissible for a man to dismiss his wife for any reason? " 4Jesus replied: “Have you never read that the Creator, from the beginning, made them male and female? 5And he said: 'Therefore, a man will leave his father and mother and join his wife, and the two will be one flesh'? 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has united, let man not separate ”. 7The Pharisees asked, "So how did Moses send a divorce certificate and dismiss the woman?" 8Jesus replied: “Moses allowed you to send the woman away because of the hardness of your heart. But it was not like that from the beginning. 9 For this reason, I say to you: whoever dismisses his wife - except in case of illegitimate union - and marries another, commits adultery ”. 10The disciples said to Jesus, "If a man's situation with a woman is like that, it is not worth marrying." 11Jesus replied: “Not everyone is able to understand this, except those to whom it is granted. 12 Indeed, there are men incapable of marriage, because they were born that way; others, because men did so; still others were unable to do so because of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever can understand, understand ”. - Word of salvation.

Reflection

Reflection
Man and woman will unite and form "one flesh". This union presupposes mutual respect, equality, spiritual and material sharing. Jesus not only restores marriage to its original integrity, but elevates it to the condition of a sacrament. In married life, more than gathering reasons for separation, the couple will highlight the positive aspects that keep them together and fulfilled.
