Em Cristo, Deus reconciliou consigo mesmo a humanidade; / e a nós ele entregou essa reconciliação (2Cor 5,19). – Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 18,15-20 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 15“Se o teu irmão pecar contra ti, vai corrigi-lo, mas em particular, a sós contigo! Se ele te ouvir, tu ganhaste o teu irmão. 16Se ele não te ouvir, toma contigo mais uma ou duas pessoas, para que toda a questão seja decidida sob a palavra de duas ou três testemunhas. 17Se ele não vos der ouvido, dize-o à Igreja. Se nem mesmo à Igreja ele ouvir, seja tratado como se fosse um pagão ou um pecador público. 18Em verdade vos digo, tudo o que ligardes na terra será ligado no céu, e tudo o que desligardes na terra será desligado no céu. 19De novo eu vos digo, se dois de vós estiverem de acordo na terra sobre qualquer coisa que quiserem pedir, isto vos será concedido por meu Pai que está nos céus. 20Pois onde dois ou três estiverem reunidos em meu nome, eu estou ali, no meio deles”. – Palavra da salvação.

If he hears you, you won your brother. 16If he does not hear you, take one or two more people with you, so that the whole matter may be decided at the word of two or three witnesses. 17If he does not listen to you, tell the Church. If he does not even hear the Church, be treated as if he were a pagan or a public sinner. 18Truly I say to you, whatever you connect on earth will be connected in heaven, and whatever you disconnect on earth will be disconnected in heaven. 19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you want to ask, it will be granted to you by my Father who is in heaven. 20For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there, among them ”. - Word of salvation.
Reflection
Jesus propõe que se algum irmão pecar, não se deve espalhar o seu erro, nem excluí-lo da convivência. Primeiro, é conversar com ele discretamente. Caso persista, envolver mais irmãos. Finalmente, não havendo reconciliação, entregar o caso à comunidade. Esse processo de compreensão e perdão fraterno salienta a importância da vida comunitária harmoniosa. Então, tudo o que resolverem em comum será conforme a vontade do Pai celeste, “será ligado no céu”. Muito amor, oração e discernimento são requisitos antes de querer afastar da comunidade um irmão que errou.
Reflection
Jesus proposes that if a brother sins, his error should not be spread, nor should he be excluded from living together. First, talk to him discreetly. If it persists, involve more brothers. Finally, if there is no reconciliation, hand the case over to the community. This process of understanding and fraternal forgiveness highlights the importance of harmonious community life. Then, whatever they resolve in common will be according to the will of the heavenly Father, "it will be connected in heaven". A lot of love, prayer and discernment are required before wanting to remove a brother who was wrong from the community.
