(Mt 11,29) – Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 18,1-5.10.12-14 – Naquele tempo, 1os discípulos aproximaram-se de Jesus e perguntaram: “Quem é o maior no Reino dos céus?” 2Jesus chamou uma criança, colocou-a no meio deles 3e disse: “Em verdade vos digo, se não vos converterdes e não vos tornardes como crianças, não entrareis no Reino dos céus. 4Quem se faz pequeno como esta criança, esse é o maior no Reino dos céus. 5E quem recebe em meu nome uma criança como esta é a mim que recebe. 10Não desprezeis nenhum desses pequeninos, pois eu vos digo que os seus anjos nos céus veem sem cessar a face do meu Pai que está nos céus. 12Que vos parece? Se um homem tem cem ovelhas e uma delas se perde, não deixa ele as noventa e nove nas montanhas para procurar aquela que se perdeu? 13Em verdade vos digo, se ele a encontrar, ficará mais feliz com ela do que com as noventa e nove que não se perderam. 14Do mesmo modo, o Pai que está nos céus não deseja que se perca nenhum desses pequeninos”. – Palavra da salvação.

Reflection
O pequeno, o simples, estes são os que contam para Deus, desde que se abram para fazer a vontade do Pai celeste. Do mesmo modo, Deus tem olhar de predileção e total cuidado com a “ovelha perdida”, o pecador que está longe do rebanho de Cristo. Valorizar os pequenos é honrar a Deus. Recuperar o irmão que se desvia do bom caminho é agir como o pastor que busca a ovelha perdida.
Reflection
The small, the simple, these are the ones that count to God, as long as they open themselves to do the will of the heavenly Father. In the same way, God has a look of predilection and total care for the “lost sheep”, the sinner who is far from Christ's flock. Valuing the little ones is honoring God. To recover the brother who strays from the right path is to act as the shepherd looking for the lost sheep.

Jesus, que eu seja "o grande que se faz pequeno como uma criança". E me de preferência como a “ovelha” que se extraviou e se alegra com o Pai, por resgatá-la. Amém.
