A Palavra do Senhor é viva e eficaz: / ela julga os pensamentos e as intenções do coração (Hb 4,12). – Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 20,1-16 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos esta parábola: 1“O Reino dos céus é como a história do patrão que saiu de madrugada para contratar trabalhadores para a sua vinha. 2Combinou com os trabalhadores uma moeda de prata por dia e os mandou para a vinha. 3Às nove horas da manhã, o patrão saiu de novo, viu outros que estavam na praça, desocupados, 4e lhes disse: ‘Ide também vós para a minha vinha! E eu vos pagarei o que for justo’. 5E eles foram. O patrão saiu de novo ao meio-dia e às três horas da tarde e fez a mesma coisa. 6Saindo outra vez pelas cinco horas da tarde, encontrou outros que estavam na praça e lhes disse: ‘Por que estais aí o dia inteiro desocupados?’ 7Eles responderam: ‘Porque ninguém nos contratou’: ‘Chama os trabalhadores e paga-lhes uma diária a todos, começando pelos últimos até os primeiros!’ 9Vieram os que tinham sido contratados às cinco da tarde e cada um recebeu uma moeda de prata. 10Em seguida, vieram os que foram contratados primeiro e pensavam que iam receber mais. Porém cada um deles também recebeu uma moeda de prata. 11Ao receberem o pagamento, começaram a resmungar contra o patrão: 12‘Estes últimos trabalharam uma hora só, e tu os igualaste a nós, que suportamos o cansaço e o calor o dia inteiro’. 13Então o patrão disse a um deles: ‘Amigo, eu não fui injusto contigo. Não combinamos uma moeda de prata? 14Toma o que é teu e volta para casa! Eu quero dar a este que foi contratado por último o mesmo que dei a ti. 15Por acaso não tenho o direito de fazer o que quero com aquilo que me pertence? Ou estás com inveja, porque estou sendo bom?’ 16Assim, os últimos serão os primeiros, e os primeiros serão os últimos”. – Palavra da salvação.

The Word of the Lord is alive and effective: / it judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb 4,12). - Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 20,1-16 - At that time, Jesus told his disciples this parable: 1 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the story of the boss who left at dawn to hire workers for his vineyard. 2 He combined with the workers a silver coin a day and sent them to the vineyard. 3At nine o'clock in the morning, the boss went out again, saw others who were in the square, unoccupied, 4and said to them: ‘Go also to my vineyard! And I will pay you what is fair '. 5And they went. The boss left again at noon and three in the afternoon and did the same thing. 6 Leaving again at five o'clock in the afternoon, he met others who were in the square and said to them: 'Why are you out there all day unoccupied?' 7They replied, 'Because nobody hired us':' Call the workers and pay them a daily fee to everyone, starting with the last to the first! '9 Those who had been hired at five in the afternoon came and each received a silver coin. 10 Then came those who were hired first and thought they were going to get more. However, each of them also received a silver coin. 11When they received the payment, they began to mumble against the boss: 12 'These last ones worked for only one hour, and you equaled them, who endured fatigue and heat all day'. 13Then the boss said to one of them: 'Friend, I was not unfair to you. Do we combine a silver coin? 14Take what is yours and go home! I want to give this one who was last hired the same one I gave you. 15 Do I not have the right to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you jealous, why am I being good? ’16So the last will be the first, and the first will be the last”. - Word of salvation.
Reflection
No Reino de Jesus Cristo, todos têm possibilidade de crescer. A todo instante, Jesus acolhe e insere, entre seus seguidores, todas pessoas. Deus, na sua avaliação, não usa o mesmo critério que os humanos usam nos seus negócios. O Senhor é justo. Por sua misericórdia, ele abraça os que se empenham em cumprir a vontade do Pai e continua convidando os que ainda não se empenham.
Reflection
In the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, everyone has the possibility to grow. At all times, Jesus welcomes and inserts, among his followers, all people. God, in his evaluation, does not use the same criteria that humans use in their business. The Lord is just. By his mercy, he embraces those who strive to fulfill the Father's will and continues to invite those who are not yet engaged.

Aos catequistas
Partindo da ansiedade que habita no seu coração, através da busca sincera do sentido da própria existência, em Cristo cada pessoa pode compreender-se plenamente; na familiaridade com ele, ele sente que está caminhando pelos caminhos da verdade. A Palavra de Deus manifesta o caráter relacional de cada um e sua vocação filial para se configurar a Cristo: "Tu os fizeste para ti, e nossos corações estão inquietos até que descansem em ti". Quando o homem é alcançado por Deus, ele é chamado a responder com a obediência da fé e a aderir com o pleno consentimento do intelecto e da vontade, aceitando livremente o «evangelho da graça de Deus» (At 20, 24). Dessa forma, o crente “encontra o que sempre buscou e encontra em abundância. A fé responde a esse desejo, muitas vezes inconsciente e sempre limitado, de conhecer a verdade sobre Deus, sobre o próprio homem e sobre o destino que o espera».

Starting from the anxiety that dwells in his heart, through the sincere search for the meaning of his own existence, in Christ each person can fully understand himself; in familiarity with him, he feels that he is walking in the ways of truth. The Word of God manifests the relational character of each one and his filial vocation to configure himself to Christ: "You made them for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you". When man is reached by God, he he is called to respond with obedience of faith and to adhere with the full consent of the intellect and the will, freely accepting the "gospel of the grace of God" (Acts 20: 24). In this way, the believer “finds what he has always sought and finds it in abundance. Faith responds to this desire, often unconscious and always limited, to know the truth about God, about man himself and about the destiny that awaits him».
