Explaining the parable of the sower.

Evangelho 

Felizes os que observam a Palavra do Senhor de reto coração / e que produzem muitos frutos, até o fim perseverantes! (Lc 8,15) – Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 13,18-23 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 18“Ouvi a parábola do semeador: 19todo aquele que ouve a Palavra do Reino e não a compreende, vem o maligno e rouba o que foi semeado em seu coração. Este é o que foi semeado à beira do caminho. 20A semente que caiu em terreno pedregoso é aquele que ouve a Palavra e logo a recebe com alegria; 21mas ele não tem raiz em si mesmo, é de momento: quando chega o sofrimento ou a perseguição por causa da Palavra, ele desiste logo. 22A semente que caiu no meio dos espinhos é aquele que ouve a Palavra, mas as preocupações do mundo e a ilusão da riqueza sufocam a Palavra, e ele não dá fruto. 23A semente que caiu em boa terra é aquele que ouve a Palavra e a compreende. Esse produz fruto. Um dá cem, outro sessenta e outro trinta”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel 

Happy are those who observe the Word of the Lord with a right heart / and who produce many fruits, persevering to the end! (Lk 8,15) - Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 13,18-23 - At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 18 “Hear the parable of the sower: 19everyone who hears the Word of the Kingdom and does not understand it , the evil one comes and steals what was sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the way. 20The seed that fell on rocky ground is the one that hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy; 21but it has no root in itself, it is for the moment: when suffering or persecution comes because of the Word, it gives up soon. The seed that has fallen in the thorns is the one that hears the Word, but the concerns of the world and the illusion of wealth suffocate the Word, and it bears no fruit. The seed that fell on good ground is the one who hears the Word and understands it. This bears fruit. One gives a hundred, another sixty and another thirty ”. - Word of salvation.

Reflection 

É importante que a Palavra penetre em nosso íntimo, provoque conversão e produza obras de justiça e fraternidade. A “Palavra do Reino” é sempre boa; o semeador é generoso e espalha as sementes a mancheias. A falha está nos terrenos (pessoas). Curiosamente, dos quatro terrenos apresentados, apenas um produz frutos de modo satisfatório. Nenhum motivo para desânimo. Abraçar e seguir as propostas do Reino supõe tribulações. Com a constante presença do Senhor.

Reflection 

It is important that the Word penetrates into us, provokes conversion and produces works of justice and fraternity. The "Kingdom Word" is always good; the sower is generous and scatters the seeds to mancheias. The fault lies in the land (people). Interestingly, of the four plots presented, only one produces fruit satisfactorily. No reason for discouragement. Embracing and following the Kingdom's proposals implies tribulation. With the Lord's constant presence.
