Feliz quem ouve e observa a Palavra de Deus! (Lc 11,28) – Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 12,46-50 – Naquele tempo, 46enquanto Jesus estava falando às multidões, sua mãe e seus irmãos ficaram do lado de fora, procurando falar com ele. 47Alguém disse a Jesus: “Olha! Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão aí fora e querem falar contigo”. 48Jesus perguntou àquele que tinha falado: “Quem é minha mãe e quem são meus irmãos?” 49E, estendendo a mão para os discípulos, Jesus disse: “Eis minha mãe e meus irmãos. 50Pois todo aquele que faz a vontade do meu Pai, que está nos céus, esse é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”. – Palavra da salvação.

Happy are those who hear and observe the Word of God! (Lk 11,28) - Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 12,46-50 - At that time, while Jesus was speaking to the crowds, his mother and his brothers stayed outside, trying to talk to him. 47Someone said to Jesus, “Look! Your mother and your brothers are out there and want to talk to you ”. 48Jesus asked the one who had spoken, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?" 49And, reaching out to the disciples, Jesus said: “Here is my mother and my brothers. 50For everyone who does the will of my Father in heaven, this is my brother, my sister and my mother ”. - Word of salvation.

Reflexão

Maria na história da salvação, não foi só a mãe biológica de Jesus. Ela é a serva do Senhor, a que disse um sim incondicional à gestação do Verbo, completamente comprometida com o mistério de Jesus. A relação de Maria com Jesus não foi pontual. Maria viveu cada momento correspondendo ao amor de Deus. Maria foi sua mãe, porém foi também sua primeira discípula.

Reflection

Mary in the history of salvation, was not only the biological mother of Jesus. She is the servant of the Lord, the one who said an unconditional yes to the gestation of the Word, completely committed to the mystery of Jesus. Mary's relationship with Jesus was not one-off. Mary lived every moment corresponding to the love of God. Maria was her mother, but she was also her first disciple.
