Eu te louvo, ó Pai, Senhor do céu e da terra.

I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.

Graças te dou, ó Pai, / Senhor do céu e da terra, / pois revelaste os mistérios do teu Reino aos pequeninos, / escondendo-os aos doutores! (Mt 11,25) – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 11,25-27 – 25Naquele tempo, Jesus pôs-se a dizer: “Eu te louvo, ó Pai, Senhor do céu e da terra, porque escondeste estas coisas aos sábios e entendidos e as revelaste aos pequeninos. 26Sim, Pai, porque assim foi do teu agrado. 27Tudo me foi entregue por meu Pai, e ninguém conhece o Filho, senão o Pai, e ninguém conhece o Pai, senão o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho o quiser revelar”. – Palavra da salvação.

I thank you, Father, / Lord of heaven and earth, / for you have revealed the mysteries of your Kingdom to the little ones, / by hiding them from the doctors! (Mt 11,25) - Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 11,25-27 - 25 At that time, Jesus began to say: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you hid these things to the wise and knowledgeable and revealed them to the little ones. 26Yes, Father, because that was your pleasure. 27Everything was given to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son, except the Father, and no one knows the Father, except the Son and the one to whom the Son wants to reveal him ”. - Word of salvation.

Reflexão

Os membros da religião e política, que se recusam a reconhecer Jesus como o Enviado do Pai. Não é que Deus os tenha privado dessa possibilidade, eles é que se posicionaram contra Jesus e seu Reino. Tornaram-se tão opostos a Jesus, que o perseguiram o tempo todo até fazê-lo morrer na cruz. Os “pequeninos”, por sua vez, têm o coração aberto para acolher o projeto de Deus. A mensagem de Jesus é digna de confiança e aceitação, pois Ele a recebe diretamente do Pai.

Reflection

The members of religion and politics, who refuse to recognize Jesus as the Father's Envoy. It is not that God has deprived them of this possibility, it is they who have taken a stand against Jesus and his Kingdom. They became so opposed to Jesus that they persecuted him all the time until he died on the cross. The “little ones”, on the other hand, have an open heart to welcome God's project. Jesus' message is worthy of trust and acceptance, for He receives it directly from the Father.
