Reflexão

O capítulo 15 do Evangelho de Lucas traz três parábolas: ovelha, moeda e filho perdidos e resgatados. O objetivo dessas parábolas é destacar a misericórdia de Deus. A chave para a interpretação dessas parábolas está na acusação que as autoridades fazem a Jesus, no início do capítulo: ele acolhe os pecadores e come com eles. Neste domingo, a liturgia apresenta a parábola conhecida como a do filho pródigo. O filho mais novo resolve tomar o destino de sua própria vida: abandona a família e sai em busca de aventura, mas acaba se dando mal e resolve voltar à casa paterna. O pai o acolhe com alegria e festa. Com isso arruma encrenca com o filho mais velho, que não concorda com a volta do irmão e a atitude do pai. Para o filho mais velho, o amor do pai para com o mais novo passou dos limites. Para alguns estudiosos, o filho mais velho representaria os judeus que não aceitam as atitudes de acolhida de Jesus frente às pessoas “suspeitas”, enquanto o mais novo simbolizaria os judeus e as pessoas de outras etnias que aderem ao projeto de Jesus. Independentemente disso, a parábola nos mostra a grande misericórdia do Pai, que acolhe, perdoa e se alegra com a volta de seus filhos e filhas.

Reflection 

Chapter 15 of the Gospel of Luke brings three parables: Lost and rescued sheep, coin and son. The purpose of these parables is to highlight God's mercy. The key to the interpretation of these parables is on the accusation that the authorities make to Jesus at the beginning of the chapter: he welcomes sinners and eats with them. This Sunday, the liturgy presents the parable known as that of the prodigal son. The youngest son decides to take the fate of his own life: he abandons his family and goes out in search of adventure, but ends up getting sick and decides to return to his father's house. The father welcomes him with joy and feast. With that he gets in trouble with his eldest son, who does not agree with his brother's return and his father's attitude. For the eldest son, the father's love for the youngest has crossed the line. For Some scholars, the eldest son would represent the Jews who do not accept the attitudes of welcoming Jesus in front of the "suspicious" people, while the youngest would symbolize the Jews and the people of other ethnicities who adhere to the project of Jesus. Regardless, the parable shows us the Great mercy of the Father, who welcomes, forgives and rejoices with the return of his sons and daughters.

Leitura do livro de Josué 5,9-12 – Naqueles dias, 9o Senhor disse a Josué: “Hoje tirei de cima de vós o opróbrio do Egito”. 10Os israelitas ficaram acampados em Guilgal e celebraram a Páscoa no dia catorze do mês, à tarde, na planície de Jericó. 11No dia seguinte à Páscoa, comeram dos produtos da terra, pães sem fermento e grãos tostados nesse mesmo dia. 12O maná cessou de cair no dia seguinte, quando comeram dos produtos da terra. Os israelitas não mais tiveram o maná. Naquele ano comeram dos frutos da terra de Canaã. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of the Book of Joshua 5.9-12 – in Those days, the 9th Lord said to Joshua, "Today I have taken from you the opprobrium of Egypt." 10 The Israelites were camped in Guilgal and celebrated Easter on the day fourteen of the month, in the afternoon, in the plain of Jericho. 11the Day after Easter, they ate the products of the earth, breads without yeast and toasted grains that same day. 12th Manna ceased to fall the next day, when they ate from the products of the Earth. The Israelites no longer had the Maná. That year They ate the fruits of the land of Canaan. – Word of the Lord.

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 15,1-3.11-32 – Naquele tempo, 1os publicanos e pecadores aproximavam-se de Jesus para o escutar. 2Os fariseus, porém, e os mestres da lei criticavam Jesus: “Este homem acolhe os pecadores e faz refeição com eles”. 3Então, Jesus contou-lhes esta parábola: 11“Um homem tinha dois filhos. 12O filho mais novo disse ao pai: ‘Pai, dá-me a parte da herança que me cabe’. E o pai dividiu os bens entre eles. 13Poucos dias depois, o filho mais novo juntou o que era seu e partiu para um lugar distante. Correu-lhe ao encontro, abraçou-o e cobriu-o de beijos. 21O filho, então, lhe disse: ‘Pai, pequei contra Deus e contra ti. Já não mereço ser chamado teu filho’. 22Mas o pai disse aos empregados: ‘Trazei depressa a melhor túnica para vestir meu filho. E colocai um anel no seu dedo e sandálias nos pés. 23Trazei um novilho gordo e matai-o. Vamos fazer um banquete. 24Porque este meu filho estava morto e tornou a viver; estava perdido e foi encontrado’. E começaram a festa. 25O filho mais velho estava no campo. Ao voltar, já perto de casa, ouviu música e barulho de dança. 26Então chamou um dos criados e perguntou o que estava acontecendo. 27O criado respondeu: ‘É teu irmão que voltou. Teu pai matou o novilho gordo, porque o recuperou com saúde’. 28Mas ele ficou com raiva e não queria entrar. O pai, saindo, insistia com ele. 29Ele, porém, respondeu ao pai: ‘Eu trabalho para ti há tantos anos, jamais desobedeci a qualquer ordem tua. Praise and honor to You, Lord Jesus. I Will stand up and go to my father and tell him:/My father, I have sinned against heaven and against thee (Lk 15.18). Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 15.1-3.11-32 – at That time, 1st publicans and Sinners approached Jesus to listen to him. 2The Pharisees, however, and the Masters of the Law criticized Jesus: "This man welcomes sinners and makes a meal with them." 3Then Jesus told them this parable: 11 "a man had two sons. 12The youngest son said to his father: ' Father, give me the part of the inheritance that fits me. ' And The father divided the goods between them. 13A Few days later, the youngest son gathered what was his and departed to a distant place. And There he sated everything in a rampant life. 14When He had spent all he possessed, there was a great hunger in that region and he began to pass necessity. 15So He went to ask a man of the place, who sent him to his camp to take care of the pigs. 16Th The boy wanted to starve to death with the food the pigs ate, but even that gave him. 17Then he fell in and said, ' How many servants of my father have bread with plenty, and I here, starving. 18 I leave, I go back to my father and say to him, ' Father, I have sinned against God and against thee; 19i do not deserve to be called your son. On His Way Home, he heard music and dance noises. 26Then He called one of the servants and asked what was happening. 27Th The servant replied, ' It Is your brother who has returned. Your father killed the fat steer, because he recovered it with health. " 28But He got angry and didn't want to come in. The father, coming out, insisted on him. 29 but He replied to his father: ' I have worked for you for so many years, I have never disobeyed any order from you. And you never gave me a goat to celebrate with my friends. 30When This son of yours came, who sated your possessions with prostitutes, you would kill him the steamed calf. " 31Then the father said to him, ' Son, thou art always with me, and all that is mine is thine. 32But it was necessary to feast and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and made to live; was lost and found ' ". – Word of Salvation.

Salmo 33/34

Provai e vede quão suave é o Senhor! Bendirei o Senhor Deus em todo o tempo, / seu louvor estará sempre em minha boca. / Minha alma se gloria no Senhor; / que ouçam os humildes e se alegrem! Comigo engrandecei ao Senhor Deus, / exaltemos todos juntos o seu nome! / Todas as vezes que o busquei, ele me ouviu / e de todos os temores me livrou.
