Reflexão
A vinha é o povo de Israel; o proprietário é Deus; o filho do dono é Jesus. Ao narrar esta parábola aos chefes dos sacerdotes e aos anciãos do povo, Jesus os envolve na trama. Qual foi o erro das autoridades? A eles foi confiada a população, mas não zelaram por ela. Eram administradores, mas sentiram-se donos. Administraram mal, oprimiram o povo, eliminaram os profetas que vinham em nome de Deus. Jesus, por sua vez, foi condenado e morto fora da cidade, porém ele, a pedra rejeitada, tornou-se, pela ressurreição, a pedra fundamental e recebeu em herança uma nova comunidade, aberta aos pagãos e judeus, que vão produzir muitos frutos. Cabe-nos perguntar como estamos administrando nossa vida e que frutos estamos produzindo para Deus.

The vineyard is the people of Israel; the owner is God; the owner's son is Jesus. In describing this parable to the chief priests and the elders of the people, Jesus envelops them in the plot. What was the mistake of the authorities? They were entrusted to the population, but they did not care for it. They were administrators, but they felt they were masters. They misused, they oppressed the people, they eliminated the prophets who came in the name of God. Jesus, on the other hand, was condemned and killed outside the city, but he, the rejected stone, became by the resurrection the cornerstone and received in inheritance a new community, open to the pagans and Jews, that will produce many fruits . It is up to us to ask how we are managing our lives and what fruits we are producing for God.

Leitura do livro do Gênesis 37,3-4.12-13.17-28 – 3Israel amava mais a José do que a todos os outros filhos, porque lhe tinha nascido na velhice. E por isso mandou fazer para ele uma túnica de mangas longas. 4Vendo os irmãos que o pai o amava mais do que a todos eles, odiavam-no e já não lhe podiam falar pacificamente. 12Ora, como os irmãos de José tinham ido apascentar o rebanho do pai em Siquém, 13disse Israel a José: “Teus irmãos devem estar com os rebanhos em Siquém. Vem, vou enviar-te a eles”. 17Partiu, pois, José atrás de seus irmãos e encontrou-os em Dotaim. 18Eles, porém, tendo-o visto ao longe, antes que se aproximasse, tramaram a sua morte. 19Disseram entre si: “Aí vem o sonhador! 20Vamos matá-lo e lançá-lo numa cisterna, depois diremos que um animal feroz o devorou. Assim veremos de que lhe servem os sonhos”. 21Rúben, porém, ouvindo isso, disse-lhes: 22“Não lhe tiremos a vida!” E acrescentou: “Não derrameis sangue, mas lançai-o naquela cisterna do deserto e não o toqueis com as vossas mãos”. Dizia isso porque queria livrá-lo das mãos deles e devolvê-lo ao pai. 23Assim que José chegou perto dos irmãos, estes despojaram-no da túnica de mangas longas, pegaram nele 24e lançaram-no numa cisterna que não tinha água. 25Depois, sentaram-se para comer. Levantando os olhos, avistaram uma caravana de ismaelitas que se aproximava, proveniente de Galaad. Os camelos iam carregados de especiarias, bálsamo e resina, que transportavam para o Egito. 26E Judá disse aos irmãos: “Que proveito teríamos em matar nosso irmão e ocultar o seu sangue? 27É melhor vendê-lo a esses ismaelitas e não manchar nossas mãos, pois ele é nosso irmão e nossa carne”. Concordaram os irmãos com o que dizia. 28Ao passarem os comerciantes madianitas, tiraram José da cisterna e, por vinte moedas de prata, o venderam aos ismaelitas; e estes o levaram para o Egito. – Palavra do Senhor.

Depois, arrendou-a a vinhateiros e viajou para o estrangeiro. 34Quando chegou o tempo da colheita, o proprietário mandou seus empregados aos vinhateiros para receber seus frutos. 35Os vinhateiros, porém, agarraram os empregados, espancaram a um, mataram a outro e ao terceiro apedrejaram. 36O proprietário mandou de novo outros empregados, em maior número do que os primeiros.
