Quem não está comigo está contra mim.

Reflexão

Por não reconhecerem a ação de Deus na pessoa de Jesus, seus adversários caem na mais ridícula contradição. Atribuem ao poder do maligno as boas obras que Jesus realiza diante deles. Na verdade, estão completamente dominados pelo espírito do mal; escolhem o mundo da injustiça que Jesus veio combater. Fique bem claro: Jesus expulsa o mal pelo poder do sumo Bem, o próprio Deus. E o grande sinal é que o Reino de Deus já chegou. O “homem forte”, como diz Jesus, é ele mesmo, que chega e derrota o inimigo. É sensato quem fica do lado de Jesus. Com ele podemos levar vida fecunda. Sem ele perde-se o tempo, perde-se a vida! Quando há má vontade, pode-se cair no engano de ver maldade até numa ação boa, praticada de coração sincero.

Reflection 

Because they do not recognize the action of God in the person of Jesus, their adversaries fall into the most ridiculous contradiction. They ascribe to the power of the evil one the good works that Jesus does before them. In fact, they are completely dominated by the spirit of evil; choose the world of injustice that Jesus came to combat. Be clear: Jesus casts out evil by the power of the Supreme Good, God Himself. And the great sign is that the Kingdom of God has already come. The "strong man", as Jesus says, is himself, who arrives and defeats the enemy. It is sensible who stands on the side of Jesus. With him we can lead fruitful lives. Without it time is lost, life is lost! When there is unwillingness, one can fall into the delusion of seeing evil in even a good deed, practiced with a sincere heart.

Leitura do livro do profeta Jeremias 7,23-28 – Assim fala o Senhor: 23“Dei esta ordem ao povo, dizendo: Ouvi a minha voz, assim serei o vosso Deus e vós sereis o meu povo; e segui adiante por todo o caminho que eu vos indicar para serdes felizes. 24Mas eles não ouviram e não prestaram atenção; ao contrário, seguindo as más inclinações do coração, andaram para trás e não para a frente, 25desde o dia em que seus pais saíram do Egito até o dia de hoje. A todos enviei meus servos, os profetas, e enviei-os cada dia, começando bem cedo; 26mas não ouviram e não prestaram atenção, ao contrário: obstinaram-se no erro, procedendo ainda pior que seus pais. 27Se falares todas essas coisas, eles não te escutarão e, se os chamares, não te darão resposta. 28Dirás, então: ‘Esta é a nação que não escutou a voz do Senhor, seu Deus, e não aceitou correção. Quando o demônio saiu, o mudo começou a falar, e as multidões ficaram admiradas. 15Mas alguns disseram: “É por Belzebu, o príncipe dos demônios, que ele expulsa os demônios”. 16Outros, para tentar Jesus, pediam-lhe um sinal do céu. 17Mas, conhecendo seus pensamentos, Jesus disse-lhes: “Todo reino dividido contra si mesmo será destruído; e cairá uma casa por cima da outra. 18Ora, se até satanás está dividido contra si mesmo, como poderá sobreviver o seu reino? Vós dizeis que é por Belzebu que eu expulso os demônios. 19Se é por meio de Belzebu que eu expulso demônios, vossos filhos os expulsam por meio de quem? Por isso, eles mesmos serão vossos juízes. 20Mas, se é pelo dedo de Deus que eu expulso os demônios, então chegou para vós o reino de Deus. 21Quando um homem forte e bem armado guarda a própria casa, seus bens estão seguros. 22Mas, quando chega um homem mais forte do que ele, vence-o, arranca-lhe a armadura na qual ele confiava e reparte o que roubou. 23Quem não está comigo está contra mim.
