1a.Leitura - At 16,11-15
Livro Atos dos Apóstolos. 11 Embarcamos em Trôade e navegamos diretamente para a ilha de Samotrácia. No dia seguinte, ancoramos em Neápolis, 12 de onde passamos para Filipos, que é uma das principais cidades da Macedônia, e que tem direitos de colônia romana. Passamos alguns dias nessa cidade. 13 No sábado, saímos além da porta da cidade para um lugar junto ao rio, onde nos parecia haver oração. Sentados, começamos a falar com as mulheres que estavam aí reunidas. 14 Uma delas chamava-se Lídia; era comerciante de púrpura, da cidade de Tiatira. Lídia acreditava em Deus e escutava com atenção. O Senhor abriu o seu coração para que aceitasse as palavras de Paulo. 15 Após ter sido batizada, assim como toda a sua família, ela convidou-nos: “Se vós me considerais uma fiel do Senhor, permanecei em minha casa”. E forçou-nos a aceitar.

1st Reading - At 16,11-15

Book acts of the Apostles. 11 Boarded in Troas and sailed directly to the island of Samothrace. Sitting, we start talking to women who were gathered there. 14 1 of them was called Lydia; was a merchant in purple, of the city of Thyatira. Lydia believed in God and listened carefully. You opened your heart to accept the words of Paul. 15 after being baptized, as well as your entire family, she invited us: "If you think me a faithful Mr, abide in my house". And forced us to accept.

Evangelho - Jo 15,26–16,4a
Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 26“Quando vier o Defensor que eu vos mandarei da parte do Pai, o Espírito da Verdade, que procede do Pai, ele dará testemunho de mim. 27 E vós também dareis testemunho, porque estais comigo desde o começo. 16,1 Eu vos disse estas coisas para que a vossa fé não seja abalada. 2 Expulsar-vos-ão das sinagogas, e virá a hora em que aquele que vos matar julgará estar prestando culto a Deus. 3 Agirão assim, porque não conheceram o Pai, nem a mim. 4a Eu vos digo isto, para que vos lembreis de que eu o disse, quando chegar a hora”

Gospel - Jo 15,26–16,4a
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 26 "When comes the Defender that I will send unto you from the Father, the spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will give testimony of me. 27 and ye also shall bear witness, because ye are with me from the beginning. 16.1 I told you these things so that your faith is not shaken. 2 Expel you from the synagogues, and the time will come that you kill judge be paying worship of God. 3 will act like this, why don't they met the Father, nor me. 4a I tell you this so that you remember that I told you, when the time comes "

Refletindo o Evangelho

Jesus continua preparando seus discípulos para quando ficarem sem sua presença física. “Vai enviar-lhes o Espírito da Verdade que procede do Pai”. O Espírito vai testemunhar a favor de Jesus e defender os discípulos na hora da prova e quando estiverem diante dos tribunais por causa do seu nome. Na força do Espírito Santo, os discípulos de Jesus darão esse testemunho corajoso. Dar testemunho não é só falar bem do Mestre, mas também sofrer tribulações pelo fato de ser seguidor dele. As perseguições chegam a tal absurdo, que alguém, ao matar os discípulos de Jesus, pensa estar prestando culto a Deus. Os discípulos irão experimentar na própria pele o horror do fanatismo religioso de seus perseguidores. Mas o Pai não nos deixa sozinhos de forma nenhuma, pelo contrário, Ele nos dá o auxílio, a graça necessária para que possamos viver a vida n’Ele. Essa graça tem nome, essa graça é desígnio e bênção para nós. Essa graça se chama: Espírito Santo. Vem Espírito, em nosso auxílio, em socorro a nossa fraqueza!

Reflecting the Gospel
Jesus continues preparing his disciples for when you run out your physical presence. "It will send the spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father". The spirit will testify in favor of Jesus and defend the disciples in time and when they are before the courts because of your name. The power of the Holy Spirit, the disciples of Jesus will this courageous witness. Give testimony is not only speak well of the master, but also suffer tribulations for the fact to be his follower. The persecutions come to such nonsense, someone, to kill the disciples of Jesus, do you think you're paying worship to God. The disciples will experience in own skin the horror of religious fanaticism of their pursuers.
