The servant is not greater than your Lord.

1a.Leitura - At 16,1-10

1st Reading - At 15,1-6
Book acts of the Apostles. In those days, 1 Paul went to Derbe and Lystra. There was a disciple named Timothy stripe, son of a Jewish believer, and Greek father. 2 the brothers of lystra and Iconium gave good testimony of Timothy. 3 Paul wanted Timothy to leave with him. Took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those regions, because everyone knew that Timothy's father was Greek. 4 going through the cities, Paul and Timothy conveyed the decisions that the Apostles and elders of Jerusalem had taken. And recommended them to be observed. 5 the churches strengthened in faith and, from day to day, grew in number. 6 Paul and Timothy went through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had forbidden to preach the word of God in Asia. 7 closing of mysia, they tried to get into Bithynia, but the spirit of Jesus stopped them. 8 Then crossed the Mysia and went down to Troas. 9 During the night Paul had a vision: in your face, was a Macedonian that you begged: "come to Macedonia and help us!" 10 after this vision, we seek from immediately to Macedonia, because we were convinced that God was calling us to preach the Gospel to them.

Evangelho
-
Jo 15,18-21

Gospel - Jo 15,18-21
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: "18 if the world hates you, know that you hated me. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would like what belongs to you. But because ye are not of the world, because I picked and I've pressed the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 remember what I told you: ' the servant is not greater than your Lord '. If they persecuted me me, persecute you too. If they kept my word, also keep your. 21 all this they will do against you for my name's sake, because they do not know the one who sent me ".

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Many of us, we participate in prayer groups, we retreat, we go to church, we were there on Sunday, but the rest of our lives are mundane; just listened to the songs in the world, live what he lives, drove the family to deal with him and that's the way the devil likes, as the popular expression. We need, in fact, create an opposition. And opposition is not war, is not to say that I don't deal with the world, because we live in it, worked on it and we're building. However, the world that God's word refers to is a world that is under the domain of evil (the Prince of this world). He leads the anti-European God mentality mentality. Because if God, for example, brought love and taught us how to live it, there is the culture of hatred, resentment and sorrow. If we want to bring love, forgiveness and mercy, we will be hated and rejected. If the world lives the impurities, dirt, hypocrisy, if the world thinks normal live assists and whatever else we know of corruption, God calls us to live the purity. We need to be loved by God! Who's in this world needs to know the grace of God. We need to beg the world to give us freedom and peace to live the world we choose to live. We can't get carried away by the perverse mentality, misleading and deceptive in the world who steals children, destroys marriages, corrupts the relationships. We need to live with firmness, dedication and above all, with every sobriety of spirit to our decision to be of Christ. The baptism in the configured to him, living in the world is living as baptized, as marked, as chosen of God to be salt, light and leaven in the world where we are.
