Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 26,14-25 – Naquele tempo, 14um dos doze discípulos, chamado Judas Iscariotes, foi ter com os sumos sacerdotes 15e disse: “O que me dareis se vos entregar Jesus?” Combinaram, então, trinta moedas de prata. 16E daí em diante, Judas procurava uma oportunidade para entregar Jesus. 17No primeiro dia da festa dos Ázimos, os discípulos aproximaram-se de Jesus e perguntaram: “Onde queres que façamos os preparativos para comer a Páscoa?” 18Jesus respondeu: “Ide à cidade, procurai certo homem e dizei-lhe: ‘O mestre manda dizer: O meu tempo está próximo, vou celebrar a Páscoa em tua casa, junto com meus discípulos'”. 19Os discípulos fizeram como Jesus mandou e prepararam a Páscoa. 20Ao cair da tarde, Jesus pôs-se à mesa com os doze discípulos. 21Enquanto comiam, Jesus disse: “Em verdade eu vos digo, um de vós vai me trair”. 22Eles ficaram muito tristes e, um por um, começaram a lhe perguntar: “Senhor, será que sou eu?” 23Jesus respondeu: “Quem vai me trair é aquele que comigo põe a mão no prato. 24O Filho do Homem vai morrer, conforme diz a Escritura a respeito dele. Contudo, ai daquele que trair o Filho do Homem! Seria melhor que nunca tivesse nascido!” 25Então Judas, o traidor, perguntou: “Mestre, serei eu?” Jesus lhe respondeu: “Tu o dizes”. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 26,14-25 - At that time, one of the twelve disciples, called Judas Iscariot, went to the high priests 15 and said: "What will you give me if I give Jesus to you?" So they combined thirty silver coins. 16And from then on, Judas looked for an opportunity to deliver Jesus. 17 On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Ones, the disciples approached Jesus and asked, "Where do you want us to make preparations to eat Passover?" 18Jesus replied: "Go to the city, look for a certain man and say to him: 'The master says to say: My time is near, I will celebrate Easter at your house, together with my disciples'". 19The disciples did as Jesus commanded and prepared the Passover. 20When evening fell, Jesus sat down with the twelve disciples at the table. 21 While they were eating, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me." 22They were very sad and, one by one, began to ask him, "Lord, is it me?" 23Jesus replied: “Whoever is going to betray me is the one who puts his hand on the plate with me. 24The Son of Man is going to die, as the Scripture says about him. However, woe to him who betrays the Son of Man! It would have been better if he had never been born! ” 25Then Judas, the traitor, asked, "Master, will it be me?" Jesus replied, "You say so." - Word of salvation.

Jesus, zeloso Pastor, um dos Teus discípulos estraga a beleza da festa. Por não compreender nem acatar Teus planos de amor e vida para todos, ele se afasta do grupo, a fim de executar seus planos perversos. Ajuda-nos Senhor, quando somos sufocados pelas injustiça. Amém.

To Pray

Jesus, zealous Shepherd, one of Your disciples spoils the beauty of the feast. Because he does not understand or abide by Your plans of love and life for all, he withdraws from the group in order to carry out his perverse plans. Help us, Lord, when we are suffocated by injustice. Amen.
