Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 7,40-53 – Naquele tempo, 40ao ouvirem as palavras de Jesus, algumas pessoas da multidão diziam: “Este é, verdadeiramente, o profeta”. 41Outros diziam: “Ele é o Messias”. Mas alguns objetavam: “Porventura o Messias virá da Galileia? 42Não diz a Escritura que o Messias será da descendência de Davi e virá de Belém, povoado de onde era Davi?” 43Assim, houve divisão no meio do povo por causa de Jesus. 44Alguns queriam prendê-lo, mas ninguém pôs as mãos nele. 45Então, os guardas do templo voltaram para os sumos sacerdotes e os fariseus, e estes lhes perguntaram: “Por que não o trouxestes?” 46Os guardas responderam: “Ninguém jamais falou como este homem”. 47Então, os fariseus disseram-lhes: “Também vós vos deixastes enganar? 48Por acaso algum dos chefes ou dos fariseus acreditou nele? 49Mas essa gente que não conhece a Lei é maldita!” 50Nicodemos, porém, um dos fariseus, aquele que se tinha encontrado com Jesus anteriormente, disse: 51“Será que a nossa Lei julga alguém antes de o ouvir e saber o que ele fez?” 52Eles responderam: “Também tu és galileu, porventura? Vai estudar e verás que da Galileia não surge profeta”. 53E cada um voltou para sua casa. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 7,40-53 - At that time, when hearing the words of Jesus, some people in the crowd said: "This is truly the prophet". 41 Others said, "He is the Messiah." But some objected: “Will the Messiah come from Galilee? 42Does not the Scripture say that the Messiah will be of David's descent and will come from Bethlehem, where David was from? ” 43So there was division among the people because of Jesus. 44Some wanted to arrest him, but no one got his hands on him. 45Then the temple guards returned to the high priests and the Pharisees, and they asked them, "Why did you not bring him?" 46The guards replied, "No one has ever spoken like this man." 47Then the Pharisees said to them, “Have you also been deceived? Did any of the chiefs or Pharisees believe him? 49But those people who don't know the Law are damned! ” 50Nicodemos, however, one of the Pharisees, the one who had met Jesus earlier, said: 51 “Does our Law judge someone before they hear him and know what he has done?” 52They replied, “Are you also a Galilean, perhaps? Go study and you will see that from Galilee there is no prophet ”. 53And each one returned to his home. - Word of salvation.

Jesus, a Teu respeito havia desacordo no meio do povo. Uns contra, outros a favor. Alguns Te atacavam negando a Tua origem divina; outros Te acolhiam como o enviado do Pai celeste. Queremos, Jesus, pertencer ao número dos que Te compreendem e seguem fielmente. Amém.
To Pray
Jesus, there was disagreement with you among the people. Some against, others in favor. Some attacked You by denying Your divine origin; others welcomed You as the Heavenly Father's envoy. We want, Jesus, to belong to the number of those who understand You and follow you faithfully. Amen.
