Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 4,43-54 – Naquele tempo, 43Jesus partiu da Samaria para a Galileia. 44O próprio Jesus tinha declarado que um profeta não é honrado na sua própria terra. 45Quando então chegou à Galileia, os galileus receberam-no bem, porque tinham visto tudo o que Jesus havia feito em Jerusalém durante a festa. Pois também eles tinham ido à festa. 46Assim, Jesus voltou para Caná da Galileia, onde havia transformado a água em vinho. Havia em Cafarnaum um funcionário do rei que tinha um filho doente. 47Ouviu dizer que Jesus tinha vindo da Judeia para a Galileia. Ele saiu ao seu encontro e pediu-lhe que fosse a Cafarnaum curar seu filho, que estava morrendo. 48Jesus disse-lhe: “Se não virdes sinais e prodígios, não acreditais”. 49O funcionário do rei disse: “Senhor, desce, antes que meu filho morra!” 50Jesus lhe disse: “Podes ir, teu filho está vivo”. O homem acreditou na palavra de Jesus e foi embora. 51Enquanto descia para Cafarnaum, seus empregados foram ao seu encontro, dizendo que o seu filho estava vivo. 52O funcionário perguntou a que horas o menino tinha melhorado. Eles responderam: “A febre desapareceu, ontem, pela uma da tarde”. 53O pai verificou que tinha sido exatamente na mesma hora em que Jesus lhe havia dito: “Teu filho está vivo”. Então, ele abraçou a fé, juntamente com toda a sua família. 54Esse foi o segundo sinal de Jesus. Realizou-o quando voltou da Judeia para a Galileia. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 4,43-54 - At that time, 43Jesus left Samaria for Galilee. 44 Jesus himself had declared that a prophet is not honored in his own land. 45When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him, because they had seen everything that Jesus had done in Jerusalem during the feast. For they, too, had gone to the party. 46So Jesus returned to Cana in Galilee, where he had turned water into wine. In Capernaum there was an official of the king who had a sick son. 47He heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee. He went out to meet him and asked him to go to Capernaum to heal his dying son. 48Jesus said to him, "If you do not see signs and wonders, you do not believe." 49The king's official said, "Lord, come down, before my son dies!" 50Jesus said to him, "You can go, your son is alive." The man believed the word of Jesus and left. 51While going down to Capernaum, his servants came to meet him, saying that his son was alive. The employee asked what time the boy had improved. They replied: "The fever disappeared, yesterday, at one o'clock in the afternoon". 53The father found that it was at exactly the same time that Jesus had said to him, "Your son is alive." So he embraced the faith, along with his entire family. 54This was Jesus' second sign. He accomplished it when he returned from Judea to Galilee. - Word of salvation.
