Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 2,13-25 – 13Estava próxima a Páscoa dos judeus, e Jesus subiu a Jerusalém. 14No templo, encontrou os vendedores de bois, ovelhas e pombas e os cambistas que estavam aí sentados. 15Fez então um chicote de cordas e expulsou todos do templo, junto com as ovelhas e os bois; espalhou as moedas e derrubou as mesas dos cambistas. 16E disse aos que vendiam pombas: “Tirai isso daqui! Não façais da casa de meu Pai uma casa de comércio!” 17Seus discípulos lembraram-se, mais tarde, que a Escritura diz: “O zelo por tua casa me consumirá”. 18Então os judeus perguntaram a Jesus: “Que sinal nos mostras para agir assim?” 19Ele respondeu: “Destruí este templo, e em três dias eu o levantarei”. 20Os judeus disseram: “Quarenta e seis anos foram precisos para a construção deste santuário e tu o levantarás em três dias?” 21Mas Jesus estava falando do templo do seu corpo. 22Quando Jesus ressuscitou, os discípulos lembraram-se do que ele tinha dito e acreditaram na Escritura e na palavra dele. 23Jesus estava em Jerusalém durante a festa da Páscoa. Vendo os sinais que realizava, muitos creram no seu nome. 24Mas Jesus não lhes dava crédito, pois ele conhecia a todos; 25e não precisava do testemunho de ninguém acerca do ser humano, porque ele conhecia o homem por dentro. -Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 2,13-25 - 13The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the temple, he met the sellers of oxen, sheep and doves, and the money changers who were sitting there. 15 Then he made a whip of ropes and drove everyone out of the temple, together with the sheep and the oxen; he scattered the coins and knocked over the money changers' tables. 16And he said to those selling doves: “Get this out of here! Do not make my Father's house a house of commerce! ” 17His disciples later remembered that Scripture says, "Zeal for your house will consume me." 18Then the Jews asked Jesus, "What sign do you show us to do this?" 19He replied, "I have destroyed this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." 20The Jews said, "It took forty-six years to build this sanctuary and will you raise it up in three days?" 21But Jesus was talking about the temple of his body. 22When Jesus was resurrected, the disciples remembered what he had said and believed in Scripture and his word. 23Jesus was in Jerusalem during the Passover feast. Seeing the signs he performed, many believed in his name. 24But Jesus did not give them credit, because he knew everyone; 25and he didn't need anyone's testimony about the human being, because he knew the man inside. -Word of salvation.

Ó Jesus, Tu que conheces por dentro todo ser humano, converte nosso coração para Ti e impulsiona-nos a promover os nossos semelhantes. Amém.
