Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 18,21-35 – Naquele tempo, 21Pedro aproximou-se de Jesus e perguntou: “Senhor, quantas vezes devo perdoar se meu irmão pecar contra mim? Até sete vezes?” 22Jesus respondeu: “Não te digo até sete vezes, mas até setenta vezes sete. 23Porque o Reino dos céus é como um rei que resolveu acertar as contas com seus empregados. 24Quando começou o acerto, trouxeram-lhe um que lhe devia uma enorme fortuna. 25Como o empregado não tivesse com que pagar, o patrão mandou que fosse vendido como escravo, junto com a mulher e os filhos e tudo o que possuía, para que pagasse a dívida. 26O empregado, porém, caiu aos pés do patrão e, prostrado, suplicava: ‘Dá-me um prazo! E eu te pagarei tudo’. 27Diante disso, o patrão teve compaixão, soltou o empregado e perdoou-lhe a dívida. 28Ao sair dali, aquele empregado encontrou um dos seus companheiros que lhe devia apenas cem moedas. Ele o agarrou e começou a sufocá-lo, dizendo: ‘Paga o que me deves’. 29O companheiro, caindo aos seus pés, suplicava: ‘Dá-me um prazo! E eu te pagarei’. 30Mas o empregado não quis saber disso. Saiu e mandou jogá-lo na prisão, até que pagasse o que devia. 31Vendo o que havia acontecido, os outros empregados ficaram muito tristes, procuraram o patrão e lhe contaram tudo. 32Então o patrão mandou chamá-lo e lhe disse: ‘Empregado perverso, eu te perdoei toda a tua dívida, porque tu me suplicaste. 33Não devias tu também ter compaixão do teu companheiro, como eu tive compaixão de ti?’ 34O patrão indignou-se e mandou entregar aquele empregado aos torturadores, até que pagasse toda a sua dívida. 35É assim que o meu Pai que está nos céus fará convosco se cada um não perdoar de coração ao seu irmão”. – Palavra da salvação.

Up to seven times? ” 22Jesus replied, “I don't tell you seven times, but seventy times seven. 23Because the Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who resolved to settle accounts with his servants. 24When the settlement began, they brought him one who owed him an enormous fortune. 25 As the employee had nothing to pay, the boss ordered him to be sold as a slave, along with his wife and children and everything he owned, so that he could pay the debt. 26The employee, however, fell at the boss's feet and, prostrate, pleaded: ‘Give me a deadline! And I will pay you everything ’. 27Therefore, the boss had compassion, released the employee, and forgave him the debt. 28 As he left, that employee found one of his companions who owed him only a hundred coins. He grabbed it and started to choke it, saying: 'Pay what you owe me'. 29The companion, falling at his feet, pleaded: 'Give me a deadline! And I will pay you ’. 30But the employee didn't want to know about it. He went out and had him thrown in prison, until he paid what he owed. 31 Seeing what had happened, the other employees were very sad, went to the boss and told him everything. 32Then the boss sent for him and said to him: 'Wicked employee, I forgave you all your debt, because you begged me. 33 Shouldn't you also have compassion on your partner, as I had compassion on you? ' 35 This is how my Father in heaven will do with you if each one does not forgive his brother from the heart ”. - Word of salvation.
Para rezar
Senhor Jesus, obrigado pelo ensinamento sobre o perdão. Pela pergunta de Pedro, constatamos quanta dificuldade temos para perdoar a quem nos ofendeu. Por isso, Tu nos mostras que o modelo de misericórdia é o Pai celeste, que perdoa sem medida. E exige que também nós perdoemos sem cessar. Amém.
To Pray
Lord Jesus, thank you for the teaching on forgiveness. From Peter's question, we can see how difficult it is to forgive those who have offended us.
