Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 23,1-12 – Naquele tempo, 1Jesus falou às multidões e aos seus discípulos e lhes disse: 2″Os mestres da Lei e os fariseus têm autoridade para interpretar a Lei de Moisés. 3Por isso, deveis fazer e observar tudo o que eles dizem. Mas não imiteis suas ações! Pois eles falam e não praticam. 4Amarram pesados fardos e os colocam nos ombros dos outros, mas eles mesmos não estão dispostos a movê-los nem sequer com um dedo. 5Fazem todas as suas ações só para serem vistos pelos outros. Eles usam faixas largas, com trechos da Escritura, na testa e nos braços e põem na roupa longas franjas. 6Gostam de lugar de honra nos banquetes e dos primeiros lugares nas sinagogas. 7Gostam de ser cumprimentados nas praças públicas e de serem chamados de mestre. 8Quanto a vós, nunca vos deixeis chamar de mestre, pois um só é vosso mestre e todos vós sois irmãos. 9Na terra, não chameis a ninguém de pai, pois um só é vosso Pai, aquele que está nos céus. 10Não deixeis que vos chamem de guias, pois um só é o vosso guia, Cristo. 11Pelo contrário, o maior dentre vós deve ser aquele que vos serve. 12Quem se exaltar será humilhado, e quem se humilhar será exaltado”. – Palavra da salvação

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 23,1-12 - At that time, 1Jesus spoke to the crowds and his disciples and said to them: 2 ″ The teachers of the Law and the Pharisees have the authority to interpret the Law of Moses. 3 Therefore, you must do and observe everything they say. But do not imitate their actions! For they speak and do not practice. 4 They tie heavy burdens and place them on the shoulders of others, but they themselves are not willing to move them even with a finger. 5Do all your actions just to be seen by others. They wear wide bands, with excerpts from Scripture, on their foreheads and arms and wear long fringes on their clothes. 6 They like the place of honor at banquets and the first places in synagogues. 7 They like to be greeted in public squares and to be called master. 8 As for you, never let yourselves be called a teacher, for one is your teacher and you are all brothers. 9 On earth, do not call anyone a father, for one is your Father, who is in heaven. 10 Do not let them call you guides, for one is your guide, Christ. 11On the contrary, the greatest among you must be the one who serves you. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted ”. - Word of salvation.

Ó Jesus, nosso único Mestre, pedes que não imitemos os que dizem, mas não fazem. Muitos líderes da sociedade gastam palavras e propaganda com vista a sua autopromoção ou algum cargo de governo. Dá-nos, ó divino Líder, discernimento para que pessoas desonestas não nos enganem. Amém.
To Pray
O Jesus, our only Master, ask us not to imitate those who say, but do not do. Many leaders of society spend words and propaganda with a view to self-promotion or some government position. Give us, O divine Leader, discernment so that dishonest people do not deceive us. Amen.
