Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 5,1-11 – Naquele tempo, 1Jesus estava na margem do lago de Genesaré, e a multidão apertava-se ao seu redor para ouvir a Palavra de Deus. 2Jesus viu duas barcas paradas na margem do lago. Os pescadores haviam desembarcado e lavavam as redes. 3Subindo numa das barcas, que era de Simão, pediu que se afastasse um pouco da margem. Depois, sentou-se e, da barca, ensinava as multidões. 4Quando acabou de falar, disse a Simão: “Avança para águas mais profundas, e lançai vossas redes para a pesca”. 5Simão respondeu: “Mestre, nós trabalhamos a noite inteira e nada pescamos. Mas, em atenção à tua palavra, vou lançar as redes”. 6Assim fizeram, e apanharam tamanha quantidade de peixes, que as redes se rompiam. 7Então fizeram sinal aos companheiros da outra barca, para que viessem ajudá-los. Eles vieram, e encheram as duas barcas, a ponto de quase afundarem. 8Ao ver aquilo, Simão Pedro atirou-se aos pés de Jesus, dizendo: “Senhor, afasta-te de mim, porque sou um pecador!” 9É que o espanto se apoderara de Simão e de todos os seus companheiros, por causa da pesca que acabavam de fazer. 10Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu, que eram sócios de Simão, também ficaram espantados. Jesus, porém, disse a Simão: “Não tenhas medo! De hoje em diante, tu serás pescador de homens”. 11Então levaram as barcas para a margem, deixaram tudo e seguiram a Jesus. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 5,1-11 - At that time, 1Jesus was on the shore of the lake of Genesaré, and the crowd was crowding around him to hear the Word of God. 2Jesus saw two boats standing by the lake. They came, and filled the two boats, to the point of almost sinking. 8 Upon seeing that, Simon Peter threw himself at Jesus' feet, saying: “Lord, stay away from me, because I am a sinner!” 9It was that amazement had taken hold of Simon and all his companions, because of the fishing they had just done. 10Tiago and João, sons of Zebedee, who were partners of Simon, were also amazed. However, Jesus said to Simon: “Do not be afraid! From now on, you will be a fisherman of men ”. 11Then they took the boats to the bank, left everything and followed Jesus. - Word of salvation.

Pela palavra de Jesus, houve abundância de peixes nas redes dos pescadores. Haverá também aproximação de multidões de pessoas para ouvir a Palavra de Deus, pela voz do discípulo do Senhor: “A partir de agora você vai ser pescador de gente”. A missão está inaugurada. Missionários são os discípulos e discípulas do Mestre de Nazaré. O tema da pregação é a Palavra de Deus. O sucesso da missão virá da humildade do evangelizador (“sou um pecador”) e do poder de Jesus: “Avance para águas mais profundas”.
