Quem me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou.

Whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.

Evangelho
Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia. Jesus Cristo, a fiel testemunha, / primogênito dos mortos, / nos amou e do pecado nos lavou / em seu sangue derramado (Ap 1,5). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 13,16-20 – Depois de lavar os pés dos discípulos, Jesus lhes disse: 16“Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, o servo não está acima do seu senhor e o mensageiro não é maior que aquele que o enviou. 17Se sabeis isso e o puserdes em prática, sereis felizes. 18Eu não falo de vós todos. Eu conheço aqueles que escolhi, mas é preciso que se realize o que está na Escritura: ‘Aquele que come o meu pão levantou contra mim o calcanhar’. 19Desde agora vos digo isso, antes de acontecer, a fim de que, quando acontecer, creiais que eu sou. 20Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, quem recebe aquele que eu enviar me recebe a mim; e quem me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou”. – Palavra da salvação.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, / firstborn of the dead, / loved us and washed us from sin / in his shed blood (Ap 1,5). - Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 13, 16-20 - After washing the feet of the disciples, Jesus said to them: 16 “Truly, truly, I say to you, the servant is not above his master and the messenger is not greater than the one who sent it. 17If you know this and put it into practice, you will be happy. 18I do not speak of you all. Reflexão
Jesus é fiel ao Pai: levará a sua missão até o fim. Ele é o Messias, o Enviado do Pai, o Salvador, a Luz do mundo, o Filho de Deus, a presença de Deus neste mundo. Jesus vai ser afastado pela morte-glorificação, mas deixará aos apóstolos a incumbência de levar adiante a sua mesma missão, a que recebeu do Pai: dar vida abundante para todos.

Reflection
Jesus is faithful to the Father: he will carry out his mission to the end. He is the Messiah, the Father's Envoy, the Savior, the Light of the world, the Son of God, the presence of God in this world. Jesus will be removed by death-glorification, but he will leave the apostles to carry out his same mission, the one he received from the Father: to give abundant life to all.

Rezando 
Senhor Jesus, envia-nos para além do nosso pequeno mundo cotidiano. Envia-nos para entre as pessoas . Queremos ser tua presença renovadora junto ao teu povo. Amém.

Lord Jesus, send us beyond our small everyday world. Send us to people. We want to be your renewing presence with your people. Amen.
