Eu não vim para julgar o mundo, mas para salvá-lo.

I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.

Evangelho
Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia. Eu sou a luz do mundo; / aquele que me segue / não caminha entre as trevas, / mas terá a luz da vida (Jo 8,12). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 12,44-50 – Naquele tempo, 44Jesus exclamou em alta voz: “Quem crê em mim não é em mim que crê, mas naquele que me enviou. 45Quem me vê, vê aquele que me enviou. 46Eu vim ao mundo como luz, para que todo aquele que crê em mim não permaneça nas trevas. 47Se alguém ouvir as minhas palavras e não as observar, eu não o julgo, porque eu não vim para julgar o mundo, mas para salvá-lo. 48Quem me rejeita e não aceita as minhas palavras já tem o seu juiz: a palavra que eu falei o julgará no último dia. 49Porque eu não falei por mim mesmo, mas o Pai, que me enviou, ele é quem me ordenou o que eu devia dizer e falar. 50E eu sei que o seu mandamento é vida eterna. Portanto, o que eu digo, eu o digo conforme o Pai me falou”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. I am the light of the world; / the one who follows me / does not walk among the darkness, / but will have the light of life (Jn 8,12). – Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 12,44-50 - At that time, 44Jesus exclaimed in a loud voice: “Whoever believes in me is not in me who believes, but in him who sent me. 45Whoever sees me sees the one who sent me. 46I came into the world as light, lest everyone who believes in me remain in darkness. 47If anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not judge him, because I came not to judge the world, but to save him. 48Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words already has his judge: the word I spoke will judge him on the last day. 49Because I did not speak for myself, but the Father, who sent me, is the one who ordered me to say and speak. 50And I know that your commandment is eternal life. Reflexão
Não há como separar Pai e Filho. E Jesus, ao se autorrevelar, convida cada pessoa a buscar a luz, que é vida plena para todos: “Eu vim como luz para o mundo, para que não permaneça nas trevas todo aquele que acredita em mim”. Diante de Jesus e do seu projeto de vida, as pessoas não podem ficar indiferentes ou neutras, deixando para mais tarde uma tomada de posição. Se quiser caminhar na luz, se quiser trilhar os caminhos de Deus, a decisão é agora: a favor de Jesus. Ele é o único revelador do Pai e a única salvação para nós.o Pai. Ora, existe comunhão íntima entre Jesus e o Pai: “Eu e o Pai somos um”.

Reflection
There is no way to separate Father and Son. And Jesus, in revealing himself, invites each person to seek the light, which is full life for all: “I came as light to the world, so that everyone who believes in me will not remain in darkness”. Faced with Jesus and his life project, people cannot remain indifferent or neutral, leaving a position for later. If you want to walk in the light, if you want to walk God's ways, the decision is now: in favor of Jesus. He is the Father's only revealer and the only salvation for us.

Rezando 
Ó Jesus, vieste como “luz para iluminar o mundo”, a fim de que não permaneça nas trevas aquele que acredita em ti. Ajuda-nos, Senhor, a compreender que estás unido ao Pai e proferes as palavras que o Pai te mandou dizer. E que o mandamento do Pai é vida eterna. Amém.

Praying 

O Jesus, you have come as "light to illuminate the world", lest the one who believes in you remain in darkness. Help us, Lord, to understand that you are united with the Father and utter the words that the Father has commanded you to say. And that the Father's commandment is eternal life. Amen.
