Leitura do livro do profeta Isaías 30,19-21.23-26 – Assim fala o Senhor, o santo de Israel: 19″Povo de Sião, que habitas em Jerusalém, não terás motivo algum para chorar: ele se comoverá à voz do teu clamor; logo que te ouvir, ele atenderá. 20O Senhor decerto dará a todos o pão da angústia e a água da aflição, não se apartará mais de ti o teu mestre; teus olhos poderão vê-lo 21e teus ouvidos poderão ouvir a palavra de aviso atrás de ti: ‘O caminho é este para todos, segui por ele, sem desviar-vos à direita ou à esquerda’. 23Ele te dará chuva para a semente que tiveres semeado na terra, e o fruto da terra será abundante e rico; nesse dia, o teu rebanho pastará em vastas pastagens, 24teus bois e os animais que lavram a terra comerão forragem salgada, limpa com pá e peneira. 25Haverá em toda montanha alta e em toda colina elevada arroios de água corrente, num dia em que muitos serão mortos com o desabamento de seus torreões. 26A lua brilhará como a luz do sol, e o sol brilhará sete vezes mais, como a luz de sete dias, no dia em que o Senhor curar a ferida de seu povo e fizer sarar a lesão de sua chaga”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 9,35-10,1.6-8 – Naquele tempo, 35Jesus percorria todas as cidades e povoados, ensinando em suas sinagogas, pregando o Evangelho do Reino e curando todo tipo de doença e enfermidade. 36Vendo Jesus as multidões, compadeceu-se delas, porque estavam cansadas e abatidas como ovelhas que não têm pastor. Então disse a seus discípulos: 37″A messe é grande, mas os trabalhadores são poucos. 38Pedi, pois, ao dono da messe que envie trabalhadores para a sua colheita!”10,1E, chamando os seus doze discípulos, deu-lhes poder para expulsarem os espíritos maus e para curarem todo tipo de doença e enfermidade. Enviou-os com as seguintes recomendações: 6″Ide, antes, às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel! 7Em vosso caminho, anunciai: ‘O Reino dos céus está próximo’. 8Curai os doentes, ressuscitai os mortos, purificai os leprosos, expulsai os demônios. Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 9,35-10,1.6-8 - At that time, 35Jesus traveled all cities and towns, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and illnesses. 36When Jesus saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them, because they were tired and slaughtered like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples: 37 ″ The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38I therefore asked the owner of the harvest to send workers to his harvest! ”10,1 And by calling his twelve disciples, he gave them the power to drive out evil spirits and to cure all kinds of illness and disease. He sent them with the following recommendations: 6 ″ Go, first, to the lost sheep of the house of Israel! 7 On your way, announce: ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand’. 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out the demons. Para refletir
Jesus ensina e cura as multidões, sobretudo porque constata que “estão angustiadas e abandonadas, como ovelhas que não têm pastor”. Jesus lembra as imagens fortes usadas pelo profeta Ezequiel, ao desmascarar os chefes do povo, maus pastores: “Vocês bebem o leite, vestem a lã, sacrificam as ovelhas gordas, mas não cuidam do rebanho” (Ez 34,3). Como bom pastor, Deus toma a defesa do povo oprimido: “Vou me colocar contra os pastores. Vou pedir conta a eles sobre o meu rebanho” (Ez 34,10). Palavras que deixam intrigados os líderes do povo em todos os campos: social, religioso, econômico e político.
To think about
Jesus teaches and heals the crowds, especially because he realizes that "they are distressed and abandoned, like sheep that have no shepherd". Jesus recalls the strong images used by the prophet Ezekiel, in unmasking the leaders of the people, bad shepherds: “You drink milk, wear wool, sacrifice fat sheep, but do not care for the flock” (Ezek 34: 3). As a good shepherd, God takes up the defense of the oppressed people: “I will stand against the shepherds. I will ask them to tell me about my flock ”(Ez 34,10). Words that intrigue the leaders of the people in all fields: social, religious, economic and political.

Ó Jesus, divino Mestre, admirável é teu zelo pelo Reino de Deus. Percorres cidades e povoados, ensinas nas sinagogas e curas toda sorte de enfermidades. E recomendas que peçamos ao Pai muitos trabalhadores para Tua imensa obra. Aumenta, Senhor, o nosso entusiasmo pelo evangelho. Amém.
To Pray
O Jesus, divine Master, admirable is your zeal for the Kingdom of God. You travel through cities and towns, teach in synagogues and heal all sorts of illnesses. And you recommend that we ask the Father for many workers for Your immense work. Lord, increase our enthusiasm for the gospel. Amen.
