Leitura do livro do Êxodo – Naqueles dias, 1Moisés
apascentava o rebanho de Jetro, seu sogro, sacerdote de Madiã. Levou,
um dia, o rebanho deserto adentro e chegou ao monte de Deus, o Horeb. 2Apareceu-lhe
o anjo do Senhor numa chama de fogo, do meio de uma sarça. Moisés notou
que a sarça estava em chamas, mas não se consumia, e disse consigo: 3“Vou aproximar-me desta visão extraordinária, para ver por que a sarça não se consome”. 4O
Senhor viu que Moisés se aproximava para observar e chamou-o do meio da
sarça, dizendo: “Moisés! Moisés!” Ele respondeu: “Aqui estou”. 5E Deus disse: “Não te aproximes! Tira as sandálias dos pés, porque o lugar onde estás é uma terra santa”. 6E
acrescentou: “Eu sou o Deus de teus pais, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de
Isaac e o Deus de Jacó”. Moisés cobriu o rosto, pois temia olhar para
Deus. 9“E agora o clamor dos filhos de Israel chegou até mim, e vi a opressão que os egípcios fazem pesar sobre eles. 10Mas vai, eu te envio ao faraó, para que faças sair do Egito o meu povo, os filhos de Israel”. 11E Moisés disse a Deus: “Quem sou eu para ir ao faraó e fazer sair os filhos de Israel do Egito?” 12Deus
lhe disse: “Eu estarei contigo; e este será o sinal de que fui eu que
te enviei: quando tiveres tirado do Egito o povo, vós servireis a Deus
sobre esta montanha”. – Palavra do Senhor.

terra, porque escondeste estas coisas aos sábios e entendidos e as
revelaste aos pequeninos. 26Sim, Pai, porque assim foi do teu agrado. 27Tudo
me foi entregue por meu Pai, e ninguém conhece o Filho, senão o Pai, e
ninguém conhece o Pai, senão o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho o quiser
revelar”. – Palavra da salvação.

Refletindo o Evangelho
Uma explícita oração de louvor sai do coração e dos lábios do
Mestre. Qual o motivo da alegria? É o reconhecimento ao Pai pelo modo
como conduz a história da salvação. Os intelectuais da época, entendidos
em leis e conhecedores das Escrituras são, em geral, avessos aos
ensinamentos de Jesus. Embora tenham condições para interpretar a Lei e
os Profetas, não aceitam Jesus como o Messias prometido. Pior:
dificultam sua missão, opondo-lhe aberta resistência, tachando-o com
apelidos ofensivos e procurando fazer a cabeça do povo simples para não
segui-lo. Os pobres e marginalizados, ao invés, com mais facilidade
acolhem Jesus e abrem espaço para sua mensagem. São os “pequeninos” que
vão compor a comunidade de Jesus e, ao longo dos séculos, irão difundir
em toda a parte a sua mensagem de salvação.
