And everybody was amazed. - Mc 5, 1-20
as correntes e quebrava as algemas.
Biblical Text
At that time, 1 Jesus and his disciples came to the other side of the sea, in the region of gerasenos. 2 as soon as it left the ferry, a man possessed by an unclean spirit, leaving a cemetery, it was his date. 3 this man lived in the tombs, and no one could tie him up, not even with chains. 4 often had been bound with shackles and chains, but he stormed the chains and break the shackles. And no one was able to master it. 5 Day and night he wandered among the graves and the hills, screaming and wounding himself with stones. 6 looking at Jesus from afar, the demon-possessed man ran, fell on his knees before him and cried out loud 7: "you've got to do with me, Jesus, Son of God most high? I adjure you by God, do not torment me. " 8 in fact, Jesus said: "unclean spirit, comes out of that man." 9 Then Jesus asked: "what is your name?" The man answered: "My name is ' Legion ', because we are many". 10 and asked with insistence that Jesus did not chase him away from the region. 11 there was near a large herd of pigs, grazing on the mountain. 12 the unclean spirit pleaded, then: "Send us into the swine, for us to go in them". 13 Jesus allowed. The unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. And the whole flock — about 2000 pigs — jumped downhill into the sea, where he drowned. 14 men who guarded the pigs ran away and spread the news in the city and in the fields. And the people went to see what had happened. 15 They came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man sitting, clothed and in his right mind, that even if before I was possessed by Legion. And got scared. 16 those who had witnessed the fact explained to them what had happened to the demon-possessed man and the pigs. 17 Then began to ask Jesus to leave their region. 18 While Jesus walked in again on the ferry, the man who had been demon possessed begged him to let him stay with him. 19 but Jesus did not allow. However, you said, "go home to your and Announces them everything that the Lord in his mercy, done for you". 20 and the man went away and began to preach in the Decapolis everything that Jesus had done for him. Refletindo
humana, cure e salve a nossa natureza; tire de nós, do nosso coração
Reflecting
We need to fight these unclean spirits, we must allow that Jesus, who came to renew, wash and heal the human nature, cure and save our nature; take of us, of our heart all dirty and perverted nature so that we have the purity of the Kingdom of God. What is a pure person? Take a baby on your lap, tap the purity of a child (because if we don't do as a child, did not enter the Kingdom of heaven), admire all the purity and goodness. The mind and the heart of a child, the more baby is, the purer it is. The more we become children, more God purifies us. I would emphasize that it is not a child in ingenuity, on the contrary, we need to be ever more mature; but, once we become defiled so much with this world, God wants to expel us these unclean spirits that torment us so much. When we are plagued by a legion of spirit, they take our sleep, our peace, they won't let us live the tranquility of the Kingdom of God.
