Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 7 João pregava, dizendo: “Depois de mim virá alguém mais forte do que eu. Eu nem sou digno de me abaixar para desamarrar suas sandálias. 8 Eu vos batizei com água, mas ele vos batizará com o Espírito Santo”. 9 Naqueles dias, Jesus veio de Nazaré da Galileia, e foi batizado por João no rio Jordão. 10 E logo, ao sair da água, viu o céu se abrindo, e o Espírito, como pomba, descer sobre ele. 11 E do céu veio uma voz: “Tu és o meu Filho amado, em ti ponho meu bem-querer”.

Refletindo

Todos nós recebemos o Espírito Santo, todos nós temos esse dom e essa graça, mas é necessário fazermos uma reflexão, de fato, uma meditação: Estamos permitindo que o Espírito aja em nós? Estamos sendo guiados pelo Espírito que está em nós? O Espírito toma corpo, forma em nosso ser ou está apagado, escondido e aprisionado? Se não permitirmos que o Espírito Santo aja, ele não age, porque a liberdade é nossa, a vontade é nossa. Deus age na nossa liberdade quando permitimos. Ele age na nossa vontade, quando nós a submetemos a Ele. Não basta dizer que Deus está em nós, é preciso viver guiado por Ele e permitir que Sua vontade ilumine, guie e direcione a nossa vontade. Recebemos esse dom, e esse Espírito está em nós, mas é preciso submissão, entrega, é preciso buscá-lo: “Espírito Santo, eu quero fazer a Sua vontade, eu preciso da Sua graça, da Sua luz!”. Não podemos esperar o Espírito Santo vir em nosso socorro somente na hora do apuros. Precisamos d’Ele para não cairmos nos apuros da vida. Por isso, a submissão do Espírito Santo de Deus, esse dom do Alto, essa promessa divina, essa graça que Cristo nos trouxe precisa ser vivida a cada momento e instante. A submissão à vontade de Deus, no poder do Espírito, é a graça que Cristo nos trouxe.
