Tinha grande poder, e a terra ficou toda iluminada com a sua glória. 2Ele gritou com voz poderosa: “Caiu! Caiu Babilônia, a grande! Tornou-se morada de demônios, abrigo de todos os espíritos maus, abrigo de aves impuras e nojentas”. 21Nessa hora, um anjo poderoso levantou uma pedra do tamanho de uma grande pedra de moinho e atirou-a ao mar, dizendo: “Com esta força será lançada Babilônia, a grande cidade, e nunca mais será encontrada. 22E o canto de harpistas e músicos, de flautistas e tocadores de trombeta, em ti nunca mais se ouvirá; e nenhum artista de arte alguma em ti jamais se encontrará; e o canto do moinho em ti nunca mais se ouvirá; 23e a luz da lâmpada em ti nunca mais brilhará; e a voz do esposo e da esposa em ti nunca mais se ouvirá, porque os teus comerciantes eram os grandes da terra, e com magia tu enfeitiçaste todas as nações”. 19,1Depois disso, ouvi um forte rumor, de uma grande multidão no céu, que clamava: “Aleluia! Reading of the book of the Apocalypse of São João 18,1-2.21-23; 19.1-3.9 - I, John, saw another angel descending from heaven. It had great power, and the earth was all lit up with its glory. 2He shouted in a powerful voice: “Fell! Babylon the Great has fallen! It has become the home of demons, shelter from all evil spirits, shelter from filthy and disgusting birds ”. 21At that time, a mighty angel lifted a stone the size of a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying: “With this strength Babylon the great city will be thrown and will never be found again. 22And the singing of harpists and musicians, of flutists and trumpet players, in you will never be heard again; and no artist of art in you will ever be found; and the mill song in you will never be heard again; 23and the light of the lamp in you will never shine again; and the voice of the husband and wife in you will never be heard again, because your merchants were the greatest in the land, and with magic you have bewitched all nations ”. 19.1 After that, I heard a loud rumor, from a large crowd in the sky, crying out: “Hallelujah! Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 21,20-28 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 20“Quando virdes Jerusalém cercada de exércitos, ficai sabendo que a sua destruição está próxima. 21Então, os que estiverem na Judeia devem fugir para as montanhas; os que estiverem no meio da cidade devem afastar-se; os que estiverem no campo não entrem na cidade. 22Pois esses dias são de vingança, para que se cumpra tudo o que dizem as Escrituras. 23Infelizes das mulheres grávidas e daquelas que estiverem amamentando naqueles dias, pois haverá uma grande calamidade na terra e ira contra este povo. 24Serão mortos pela espada e levados presos para todas as nações, e Jerusalém será pisada pelos infiéis, até que o tempo dos pagãos se complete. 25Haverá sinais no sol, na lua e nas estrelas. Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 21,20-28 - At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 20 “When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, know that its destruction is at hand. 21Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains; those in the middle of the city should move away; those in the country do not enter the city. 22For these days are vengeance, so that all that the Scriptures say may be fulfilled. 23Unhappy with pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding in those days, for there will be a great calamity on earth and wrath against this people. 24They will be killed by the sword and taken prisoner to all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the infidels, until the time of the heathen is complete. 25 There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On earth, nations will be distressed, terrified by the noise of the sea and the waves. 26 Men will pass out from fear just thinking about what will happen to the world, because the forces of heaven will be shaken. 27Then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with great power and glory. 28When these things start to happen, get up and lift your head, because your deliverance is at hand ”. - Word of salvation.

A primeira parte anuncia a destruição de Jerusalém, entre os anos 66 e 70 de nossa era. A cidade foi “cercada de exércitos”, e os sobreviventes foram “levados presos para todas as nações”. A história registra que, de fato, muitos judeus foram vendidos como escravos. Depois da queda de Jerusalém, a história continua. É o tempo da pregação a todas as nações (cf. Lc 24,47). É uma nova fase em que todos são convidados a formar o povo de Deus. A segunda parte faz referência ao julgamento final, que Jesus realizará por sua morte e ressurreição e pelo testemunho dos cristãos no mundo. To think about
The first part announces the destruction of Jerusalem, between the years 66 and 70 of our era. The city was "surrounded by armies", and the survivors were "taken prisoner to all nations". History records that, in fact, many Jews were sold as slaves. After the fall of Jerusalem, the story continues. It is the time of preaching to all nations (cf. Lk 24,47). It is a new phase in which everyone is invited to form God's people. The second part refers to the final judgment, which Jesus will perform for his death and resurrection and for the testimony of Christians in the world. All powers grounded in injustice will be shaken, because Jesus Christ and Christians will bring out truth and justice.
