🇧🇷 Evangelho do Dia 30/09/18 🇺🇸 Daily Gospel 09/30/18

Quem não é contra nós é a nosso favor.
Whoever is not against us is in our favor.

Evangelho -
Marcos 9,38-43.45.47-48

43Se tua mão te leva a pecar, corta-a!

Gospel - Marcos 9,38-43.45.47-48
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ According to Mark - At that time, John said to Jesus, "Master, we have seen a man cast out devils in your name. But we forbid him, because he does not follow us. " 39Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one performs miracles in my name, to speak evil of me again. 40 He who is not against us is on our side. 41 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall give you a cup of water, because ye are Christ's, shall not fail to receive his reward. 42And if any man shall offend one of these little ones that believe, it would be better for him to be cast into the sea with a millstone tied round about his neck. 43If thy hand causes you to sin, cut it off! It is better to enter life without one hand than, having both, go to hell, to the fire that never goes out. 45If thy foot causes you to sin, cut it off! It is better to enter life without one's feet than, having both, be thrown into hell. If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out! It is better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have the two of them thrown into hell, where their worm does not die and the fire does not go out. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho
O escândalo desvia a pessoa do bom caminho, do seguimento a Cristo.

Reflecting the Gospel
"Jesus continues his catechesis to his followers, through some practical guidance, against the ambition of power. First and foremost, we have a mentality of closure or arrogance. The community forbids anyone outside the group to perform exorcism in the name of Jesus. No one owns God or Christ. For Jesus, the most important thing is the good that anyone can accomplish, regardless of belonging to this or that religious group. A glass of water to thirsty is always welcome, come from wherever you come. About the scandal, Jesus is very severe. It seems that Jesus' group scandalizes the small, the weak in faith, because some fight for power and want to be the greatest. The scandal deviates a person from the right path, from following Christ. Jesus uses strong figures, which we can not take literally: cut off the hand and foot and pluck out the eye. It is necessary to extirpate everything that is opposed to the message of Jesus and to hurt those who want to be faithful to him. What has to be removed is the ambition of power to dominate, appear and oppress."

Rezando
Salmo 18/19."

Rezando
"The law of the Lord God is perfect, joy to the heart. The law of the Lord God is perfect, comfort for the soul! / The testimony of the Lord is faithful, / the wisdom of the humble. The fear of the Lord is pure, unchangeable forever. / The judgments of the Lord are right / just as well. And your servant, instructed by them, / endeavors to keep them. But who can perceive your faults? / Forgive what I do not see! And preserve your servant from pride: / Do not rule over me! / And so I will be preserved / of the most perverse crimes. Psalm 18/19."
