Evangelho - Lucas 8,16-18

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus à multidão: ¹⁶“Ninguém acende uma lâmpada para cobri-la com uma vasilha ou colocá-la debaixo da cama; ao contrário, coloca-a no candeeiro, a fim de que todos os que entram vejam a luz. ¹⁷Com efeito, tudo o que está escondido deverá tornar-se manifesto; e tudo o que está em segredo deverá tornar-se conhecido e claramente manifesto. ¹⁸Portanto, prestai atenção à maneira como vós ouvis! Pois a quem tem alguma coisa será dado ainda mais; e àquele que não tem será tirado até mesmo o que ele pensa ter”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Luke 8,16-18

Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - At that time Jesus said to the multitude: 16 "No one lights a lamp to cover it with a vessel or put it under the bed; but put it in the lamp, that all who come in may see the light. 17 For whatever is hidden is to be made manifest; and everything that is in secret is to become known and clearly manifested. 18Therefore pay attention to the way you hear! For to him who has something will be given even more; and to him that is not shall be taken away even that which he thinketh to have. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

"A Palavra de Deus, diz o salmista, “é lâmpada para os meus pés e luz para o meu caminho” (Sl 119,105). O profeta Isaías reforça esse conceito: “O próprio Senhor será para você uma luz permanente” (Is 60,20). Com a explicação da parábola do semeador, os discípulos ficaram iluminados. Não devem guardar para si o ensinamento, mas comunicá-lo aos outros. É importante que essa “luz” ilumine “todos os que estão na casa” (Mt 5,15). Recado válido para os cristãos de todos os tempos e lugares, já que “a Palavra de Deus não está algemada” (1Tm 2,9). Não basta ouvir de modo superficial a Palavra; será uma riqueza desperdiçada. Cumpre-nos ouvi-la ativamente. Quanto mais a pessoa se entrega a Deus sem cálculos, tanto mais Deus se manifesta a ela sem medida."

Reflecting the Gospel

"The Word of God," says the psalmist, "is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Ps 119: 105) The prophet Isaiah reinforces this concept: "The Lord himself will be a permanent light to you" (Is 60 20) The disciples were enlightened by the explanation of the parable of the sower, and they should not keep the teaching to themselves, but should communicate it to others.It is important that this "light" enlightens "all that are in the house" (Matt. 5,15) Message valid for Christians of all times and places, since "the Word of God is not handcuffed" (1Tm 2,9) It is not enough to listen superficially to the Word, it will be a wasted wealth. "The more one surrenders to God without calculation, the more God manifests himself to it without measure."
