🇧🇷 Evangelho do Dia 10/12/18 🇺🇸 Daily Gospel 12/10/18

Hoje vimos coisas maravilhosas!
Today we saw wonderful things!

1a. Leitura

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading of the book of the prophet Isaiah 35,1-10 - 1 Let the earth be desolate and impassable, let alone the solitude and flourish like a lily. 2 Praise and rejoice with joy and praise. The glory of Lebanon was given to him, the splendor of Carmel and Saron; their inhabitants shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. 3 Strengthen weak hands and firm weakened knees. 4I told the depressed people, "Be of good courage, do not be afraid! See, it is your God, it is the vengeance that comes, it is the reward of God; it is he who comes to save you. " 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall unravel. 6 The lame man leapt like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb will unleash, as waters in the wilderness will pour forth, and torrents will flow forth in the wilderness. 7The barren land shall be turned into a lake, and the thirsty region into a well of water; in the caves where dragons lived, the reed and reed will grow. 8 There will be a path and a path; the road shall be called the holy highway: the unclean shall not pass through it, but it shall be a straight road, wherein the weak shall not be lost. 9 There are no lions, no predatory animals run through it, they do not even appear there; those who are delivered will be able to go through it, and those whom the Lord has saved will return home. They will come to Zion singing praises, with infinite joy shining on their faces: filled with joy and contentment, they will no longer know pain and mourning. " - Word of the Lord.

Evangelho

E a virtude do Senhor o levava a curar.

Gospel
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - 17 One day Jesus was teaching. Beside him were Pharisees and lawyers from all the villages of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the virtue of the Lord led him to heal. 18A men brought a paralytic to a bed and sought to bring him in to present him. 19 But when they could not bring him in, because of the multitude, they went up to the roof, and set him down with his bed in the midst of the assembly before Jesus. 20 Seeing their faith, he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven." 21 The scribes and Pharisees began to murmur, saying, "Who is this that blasphemeth? Who can forgive sins but God? "22 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus answered," Why do you murmur in your hearts? What is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven' or to say, 'Arise and walk'? 24For that you know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, "he said to the paralytic," I tell you, get up, take the bed and go home. " 25 Immediately before them he arose, took up the bed and went home, praising God. 26 They were all beside themselves, they glorified God, and in fear they said, "Today we have seen marvelous things!" - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
According to the mentality of the time, illness was a consequence of sin. In fact, sin is an evil that is hidden, but it harms the sinner and can cause great damage in society. Therefore, Jesus attacks evil at the root: "Your sins are forgiven." Pharisees and teachers of the law are scandalized, for only God can forgive sins. Jesus clarifies: "The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." And it realizes the integral cure, freeing the man of his paralysis. The united and confident gesture of those who carry the paralytic and the liberating intervention of Jesus make the people rejoice: "Today we have seen extraordinary things." However, Pharisees and teachers of the Law feel that they are losing influence over the people.

Salmo  97/98

Psalm 97/98
Behold, our God comes! He comes to save.
I want to hear what the Lord will say: / it is the peace he will announce; / peace for his people and his friends, / for those who return to the Lord his heart. The salvation of those who fear him is near, and the glory will dwell in our land.
Truth and love will meet, / justice and peace will embrace; / out of the earth shall the faithfulness spring forth, / and righteousness shall look down from above.
The Lord will give us all that is good, / and our land will give us his crops; / justice will walk in front of you, / and salvation will follow in your footsteps.
