Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 41 disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: “Quem vos der a beber um copo de água, porque sois de Cristo, não ficará sem receber a sua recompensa. 42 E se alguém escandalizar um desses pequeninos que creem, melhor seria que fosse jogado no mar com uma pedra de moinho amarrada ao pescoço. 43 Se tua mão te leva a pecar, corta-a! 44 É melhor entrar na Vida sem uma das mãos, do que, tendo as duas, ir para o inferno, para o fogo que nunca se apaga. 45 Se teu pé te leva a pecar, corta-o! 46 É melhor entrar na Vida sem um dos pés, do que, tendo os dois, ser jogado no inferno. 47 Se teu olho te leva a pecar, arranca-o! É melhor entrar no Reino de Deus com um olho só, do que, tendo os dois, ser jogado no inferno, 48 ‘onde o verme deles não morre, e o fogo não se apaga’. 49 Pois todos hão de ser salgados pelo fogo. 50 Coisa boa é o sal. Mas se o sal se tornar insosso, com que lhe restituireis o tempero? Tende, pois, sal em vós mesmos e vivei em paz uns com os outros.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 41 Jesus said to his disciples: "Who gives the drink a glass of water, because you are of Christ, will not receive your reward. 42 and if someone offend one of these little ones that believe, it would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck. 43 If your hand makes you sin, cut it off! 44 it is best to enter the life without a hand, than, having both, go to hell, into the fire that never goes out. 45 If your foot makes you sin, cut it off! 46 it is best to enter the life without one of the feet, whereas the two, be thrown in hell. 47 If your eye makes you to sin, pluck it out! It is best to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye, than having two, be thrown into hell, where their worm 48 doesn't die, and the fire never goes out '. 49 because everyone will be salted with fire. 50 good thing is the salt. But if salt becomes insipid, it restituireis the spice? Tends, therefore, salt in yourselves and live in peace with each other.

Refletindo

Nós, muita vezes, perdemos a nossa vida, a nossa comunhão com Deus, porque não disciplinamos nossos membros, nosso olhar, nossa mente e cabeça, nossos pés, mãos e todo nosso interior. Precisamos encaminhar o nosso corpo para a direção de Deus. Não é simplesmente o coração que está em Deus, é o nosso ser inteiro, a vida inteira. Somos nós, por inteiro, que precisamos ir para Deus. A língua, por exemplo, como precisamos discipliná-la para que seja um instrumento de salvação, para que não seja um instrumento que nos leve à perdição. Muitas vezes, palavras malditas saem também da nossa boca; e em vez de edificarmos com aquilo que falamos, perdemo-nos e levamos os outros a se perderem por causa das nossa palavras.
