Honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me - Mc 7, 1-13

Biblical Text
At that time, 1 the Pharisees and some teachers of the law came from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus. 2 they saw some of his disciples ate bread with unclean hands, that is, without having washed. 3 the Pharisees and all the Jews only eat after washing your hands, following the tradition received from the former. 4 to the back of the square, they won't eat without bathing. And follow many other customs that have received by tradition: the right way to wash cups, mugs and copper canisters. 5 the Pharisees and the teachers of the law asked then to Jesus: "why do your disciples not follow the tradition of the ancients, but eat the bread without washing your hands?" 6 Jesus replied, "Well Isaiah prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, ' this people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 nothing the cult that I suck, because the doctrines they teach are human precepts '. 8 You are abandoning the commandment of God to follow the tradition of men. " 9 and he said to them: "you know very well how to set aside the commandment of God in order to keep your traditions. 10 indeed, Moses commanded, ' Honor thy father and thy mother '. And still: ' Who curses his father or mother must die '. 11 but ye ye teach that may someone tell your father and your mother, ' keep you could get from me is Corban, that is to say, consecrated to God '. 12 and this person is excused to help your father or your mother. 13 So you esvaziais the word of God with the tradition which ye transmitis. And you do many other things like this. "

Refletindo

Reflecting
Jesus is referring to, today, the Pharisees, because they weren't supposed to cease to be religious, was not to live the religion of hypocrisy, was not to let our religion, our Christian practice fell in practice of the hypocrite. We speak one thing and do another, we demand too much of others and relaxed with ourselves; We're tough enough with people to live and do, but we don't have the same practice for us. "This people honors me with their lips." So often, we speak the name of God, we praise him, but it's not enough to be only with your lips and heart; I need to be with life. It takes resplandeçamos in life, witness and demonstrate what we believe. It's one thing to have weakness, other is live on hypocrisy. We take care of our weaknesses, we recognize them, but when we live the hypocrisy, a caste, a wall, something that blinds our eyes in order to see. Everyone sees the wrong things we do, only we didn't see. We need, in fact, fight this evil so we don't fall on hypocrisy.
