 Eu te darei as chaves do Reino dos Céus - Mt 16, 13-19
I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven - Mt 16, 13-19

 

Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 13 Jesus foi à região de Cesaréia de Filipe e ali perguntou aos seus discípulos: “Quem dizem os homens ser o Filho do Homem?” 14 Eles responderam: “Alguns dizem que é João Batista; outros que é Elias; outros ainda, que é Jeremias ou algum dos profetas”. 15 Então Jesus lhes perguntou: “E vós, quem dizeis que eu sou?” 16 Simão Pedro respondeu: “Tu és o Messias, o Filho do Deus vivo”. 17 Respondendo, Jesus lhe disse: “Feliz és tu, Simão, filho de Jonas, porque não foi um ser humano que te revelou isso, mas o meu Pai que está no céu. 18 Por isso eu te digo que tu és Pedro, e sobre esta pedra construirei a minha Igreja, e o poder do inferno nunca poderá vencê-la. 19 Eu te darei as chaves do Reino dos Céus: tudo o que tu ligares na terra será ligado nos céus; tudo o que tu desligares na terra será desligado nos céus”.

Biblical Text

"

Refletindo

Pedro foi o escolhido, o primeiro dos apóstolos, o primeiro a ser citado, mencionado, a governar a Igreja que se inicia ali em Jerusalém. Então, na figura dele está o princípio, o início da Igreja. Mas ele não a governa simplesmente na autoridade, mas no serviço aos irmãos. Governar é, acima de tudo, cuidar, velar, manter a unidade da fé, e é isso que estamos celebrando no dia de hoje. Louvado seja Deus, que tem uma Igreja espalhada por todo o mundo e a mantém unida num só rebanho na figura de Pedro. Pedro para nós, hoje, chama-se Francisco, o sucesso do número 266 no governo da Igreja nesses mais de dois mil anos de história. Assim como diz a Palavra, as forças do inferno nunca poderão vencer aquilo que é a Igreja do Senhor. Ela passa por tribulações, por dificuldades e tempestades, mas a pedra, que é Pedro, é edificada em Cristo Jesus, por isso o Senhor sustenta Sua Igreja. Rezemos, amemos a Igreja, zelemos por ela, rezemos por aquele que hoje se senta na cátedra, cuja responsabilidade é governar, manter a unidade e o serviço a todos os irmãos.

Reflecting
