Texto Bíblico
Naquele tempo, 14 o
convidados. Então o rei disse à moça: “Pede-me o que quiseres e eu te

At that time, 14 King Herod heard of Jesus, whose name had become very well known. Some said: "John the Baptist rose from the dead. So the powers Act that man ". 15 others said: "Elijah". Still others said: "he is a prophet as one of the prophets". 16 hearing this, Herod said: "He is John the Baptist. I told you to cut off his head, but he is risen! " 17 Herod had arrested John and put him in chains in prison. Did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, whom he had married. 18 John said to Herod: "you're not allowed to be with your brother's wife." 19 so Herodias hated him and wanted to kill him, but couldn't. 20 indeed, Herod was afraid of John, because I knew he was just and Holy, and that protected him. I'd like to hear it, though stay embarrassed when listening. 21 Finally, the day has come. Was Herod's birthday, and he made a great feast for the great court, the officers and important citizens of Galilee. 22 the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, pleasing to Herod and his guests. Then the King said to the girl: "ask me anything you want and I'll give you". 23 and swore him saying: "I will give you anything you ask, even if it is the half of my Kingdom." 24 She came out and said to his mother: "I'm going to ask?" The mother replied, "the head of John the Baptist. 25 and returning quickly to the King, he asked: "I want you to give me now, on a plate, the head of John the Baptist. 26 the King was very sad, but couldn't refuse. He had taken the oath in front of the guests. 27 immediately the King sent a soldier to go get the head of John. The soldier left, slew him in prison, 28 brought the head on a platter, and gave it to the girl. She gave it to your mother. 29 To knowing about it, the disciples of John were there, they took the body and buried him.

Refletindo
nosso coração, e o nosso amor vai esfriando, congelando.
O acolhimento acontece no dia a dia. Acolher o outro, abraçá-lo,
saudá-lo, cumprimentá-lo, dar atenção a ele é a nossa maneira de ser
hospitaleiro.
Reflecting
The word of God is saying to us: we must persevere in brotherly love, a more demanding of charity, because we need to love each other. However, the tired, disappointed love, grief, resentment and difficult situations. So let's get to closing in relation to people, leaving them aside, dodging people of our heart, and our love is getting cold, freezing. We forget, many times, of brotherly love for everything that he writes: love, forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation. All that is needed! The love for those who are around us, living, live and work with us. We can't dodge any form of brotherly love, is a temptation for us to get away from him or love only those people who are pleasant. We don't have to like everyone, but our love must be for all. We have to rethink our way of love? We have! But we can't stop loving. I can't help but quote another point, that is the question of hospitality. We need to be hospitable, warm and fraternal people. The reception takes place on a daily basis. Welcome the other, hug him, greet him, shake his hand, give attention to it is our way to be hospitable. But it is true that there are people more in need of us, and when the brotherly love requires more of us, we need to unfold, break us more to give us more to accommodate the other. There is no way more honest, real and concrete we live our faith, not to be practicing the brotherly love! You cannot measure the size of your faith, but expressed her size living gestures, acts and attitudes. These gestures, acts and attitudes take place in practice, loving each other so, as the Lord loves us.
