Dai, pois, a César o que é de César e a Deus o que é de Deus.
Give therefore to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos 12,13-17 – Naquele tempo, 13as autoridades mandaram alguns fariseus e alguns partidários de Herodes para apanharem Jesus em alguma palavra. 14Quando chegaram, disseram a Jesus: “Mestre, sabemos que tu és verdadeiro e não dás preferência a ninguém. Com efeito, tu não olhas para as aparências do homem, mas ensinas, com verdade, o caminho de Deus. Dize-nos: é lícito ou não pagar o imposto a César? Devemos pagar ou não?” 15Jesus percebeu a hipocrisia deles e respondeu: “Por que me tentais? Trazei-me uma moeda para que eu a veja”. 16Eles levaram a moeda, e Jesus perguntou: “De quem é a figura e a inscrição que estão nessa moeda?” Eles responderam: “De César”. 17Então Jesus disse: “Dai, pois, a César o que é de César e a Deus o que é de Deus”. E eles ficaram admirados com Jesus. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 12,13-17 – At that time, 13the authorities sent some Pharisees and some supporters of Herod to catch Jesus in a word. 14When they arrived, they said to Jesus: “Master, we know that you are true and that you prefer no one. Indeed, you do not look at the appearances of man, but truly teach the way of God. Tell us: is it lawful or not to pay the tax to Caesar? Should we pay or not? ” 15Jesus saw their hypocrisy and answered: “Why are you tempting me? Bring me a coin for me to see”. 16They took the coin, and Jesus asked, "Whose figure and inscription are on that coin?" They replied: "De Caesar". 17Then Jesus said, "Give therefore to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." And they were in awe of Jesus. – Word of salvation.
Para rezar
Jesus Mestre, César não é senhor absoluto. Senhor absoluto da história é Deus, a quem todos devem servir. Ensina, Senhor, nossos dirigentes a governar com justiça. Amém.
To Pray
Jesus Master, Caesar is not the absolute master. Absolute master of history is God, whom all must serve. Teach, Lord, our leaders to govern justly. Amen.
