Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 1,39-56 – 39Naqueles dias, Maria partiu para a região montanhosa, dirigindo-se, apressadamente, a uma cidade da Judeia. 40Entrou na casa de Zacarias e cumprimentou Isabel. 41Quando Isabel ouviu a saudação de Maria, a criança pulou no seu ventre e Isabel ficou cheia do Espírito Santo. 42Com um grande grito, exclamou: “Bendita és tu entre as mulheres e bendito é o fruto do teu ventre! 43Como posso merecer que a mãe do meu Senhor me venha visitar? 44Logo que a tua saudação chegou aos meus ouvidos, a criança pulou de alegria no meu ventre. 45Bem-aventurada aquela que acreditou, porque será cumprido o que o Senhor lhe prometeu”. 46Maria disse: “A minha alma engrandece o Senhor, 47e o meu espírito se alegra em Deus, meu salvador, 48porque olhou para a humildade de sua serva. Doravante todas as gerações me chamarão bem-aventurada, 49porque o Todo-poderoso fez grandes coisas em meu favor. O seu nome é santo 50e sua misericórdia se estende, de geração em geração, a todos os que o temem. 51Ele mostrou a força de seu braço: dispersou os soberbos de coração. 52Derrubou do trono os poderosos e elevou os humildes. 53Encheu de bens os famintos e despediu os ricos de mãos vazias. 54Socorreu Israel, seu servo, lembrando-se de sua misericórdia, 55conforme prometera aos nossos pais, em favor de Abraão e de sua descendência para sempre”. 56Maria ficou três meses com Isabel; depois voltou para casa. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 1,39-56 - 39In those days, Mary left for the mountainous region, hurriedly heading for a city in Judea. She went into Zechariah's house and greeted Isabel. 41When Isabel heard Mary's greeting, the child jumped into her womb and Isabel was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42With a great cry, she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43How can I deserve that the mother of my Lord comes to visit me? 44 As soon as your greeting reached my ears, the child jumped for joy in my womb. 45 Blessed is she who believed, because what the Lord promised her will be fulfilled ”. 46Maria said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God, my savior, 48because she looked at her servant's humility. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Almighty has done great things for me. His name is holy 50 and his mercy extends from generation to generation to all who fear him. 51He showed the strength of her arm: she scattered the proud in heart. 52He overthrew the mighty from the throne and raised the lowly. 53Filled the hungry with goods and sent the rich away empty-handed. 54His servant Israel, remembering his mercy, 55as promised to our fathers in favor of Abraham and his offspring forever ”. 56Maria stayed with Isabel for three months; then she came home. - Word of salvation.

Para rezar

Jesus, meu Salvador, antes do teu nascimento, tua Mãe foi visitar a prima Isabel, grávida de João, teu precursor. Foi uma verdadeira festa, regada a cordiais saudações, alegria generalizada e louvores a Deus. Tanto que Maria prorrompeu num hino incomparável, exaltando as maravilhas do Senhor. Amém.

To Pray

Jesus, my Savior, before your birth, your Mother went to visit cousin Isabel, pregnant with John, your forerunner. It was a real feast, showered with cordial greetings, widespread joy and praise to God. So much so that Mary broke into an incomparable hymn, extolling the wonders of the Lord. Amen.
