Quem me ama realmente guardará minha Palavra, / e meu Pai o amará, e a ele nós viremos (Jo 14,23). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 7,21-29 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 21“Nem todo aquele que me diz: ‘Senhor, Senhor’ entrará no reino dos céus, mas o que põe em prática a vontade de meu Pai que está nos céus. 22Naquele dia, muitos vão me dizer: ‘Senhor, Senhor, não foi em teu nome que profetizamos? Não foi em teu nome que expulsamos demônios? E não foi em teu nome que fizemos muitos milagres?’ 23Então eu lhes direi publicamente: Jamais vos conheci. Afastai-vos de mim, vós que praticais o mal. 24Portanto, quem ouve estas minhas palavras e as põe em prática é como um homem prudente, que construiu sua casa sobre a rocha. 25Caiu a chuva, vieram as enchentes, os ventos deram contra a casa, mas a casa não caiu, porque estava construída sobre a rocha. 26Por outro lado, quem ouve estas minhas palavras e não as põe em prática é como um homem sem juízo, que construiu sua casa sobre a areia. 27Caiu a chuva, vieram as enchentes, os ventos sopraram e deram contra a casa, e a casa caiu, e sua ruína foi completa!” 28Quando Jesus acabou de dizer essas palavras, as multidões ficaram admiradas com seu ensinamento. 29De fato, ele as ensinava como quem tem autoridade e não como os mestres da lei. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel

Whoever loves me will really keep my Word, / and my Father will love him, and we will come to him (Jn 14,23). - Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 7,21-29 - At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 21 “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but what he does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22In that day, many will say to me: 'Lord, Lord, was it not in your name that we prophesied? Was it not in your name that we cast out demons? And was it not in your name that we performed many miracles? ’23Then I will tell you publicly: I never met you. Depart from me, you who do evil. 24 Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a prudent man, who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain fell, the floods came, the winds hit the house, but the house did not fall, because it was built on the rock. 26 On the other hand, whoever hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a man without judgment, who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and hit the house, and the house fell, and its ruin was complete! ” 28When Jesus finished saying these words, the crowds were amazed at his teaching. 29 In fact, he taught them as one who has authority and not as the teachers of the law. - Word of salvation.

Reflexão

O primeiro a entregar sua vida pelo Reino foi Jesus, que cumpriu plenamente a vontade do Pai. Quem se faz discípulo de Jesus deve seguir seus passos, ouvir e pôr em prática suas palavras. Este estará edificando sua casa (vida) sobre rocha inabalável, o próprio Cristo. Ninguém se iluda. Não basta falar fluentemente sobre a doutrina cristã ou cantar belos hinos religiosos. No final, pode haver tremenda decepção: “Não conheço vocês”. O que conta é assumir o compromisso com Jesus e seu Reino. Isso supõe concretamente a prática da justiça e do amor a Deus e ao próximo.

Reflection

The first to surrender his life for the Kingdom was Jesus, who fully fulfilled the Father's will. Whoever becomes a disciple of Jesus must follow in his footsteps, listen and put his words into practice. He will be building his house (life) on unshakable rock, Christ himself. Nobody is deceived. It is not enough to speak fluently about Christian doctrine or sing beautiful religious hymns. In the end, there can be tremendous disappointment: "I don't know you". What counts is to make a commitment to Jesus and his Kingdom. This presupposes the practice of justice and love for God and neighbor.

Rezando 
Jesus, o que conta, de fato, é como dizes: fazer “a vontade do Pai que está nos céus”. Concede-nos, Senhor, sabedoria e discernimento. Amém.
