Quem nele crê não é condenado.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned.

Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia. Glória ao Pai e ao Filho e ao Espírito divino, ao Deus que é, que era e que vem, pelos séculos. Amém (Ap 1,8). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 3,16-18 – 16Deus amou tanto o mundo, que deu o seu Filho unigênito, para que não morra todo o que nele crer, mas tenha a vida eterna. 17De fato, Deus não enviou o seu Filho ao mundo para condenar o mundo, mas para que o mundo seja salvo por ele. 18Quem nele crê não é condenado, mas quem não crê já está condenado, porque não acreditou no nome do Filho unigênito. – Palavra da salvação.

Reflexão

No texto de hoje, Jesus revela o motivo de sua vinda ao mundo: o amor de Deus pela humanidade. O Filho de Deus veio para que as pessoas tenham vida plena; a condição exigida é a fé nele, que implica dar-lhe adesão. A acolhida do amor de Deus é um desafio à liberdade humana, que pode escolher acolhê-lo ou rejeitá-lo. Só com pessoas capazes de amar é que se podem construir verdadeiras comunidades seguidoras de Jesus. Deus, no seu Filho, oferece vida plena a toda a humanidade. Esta é convidada a acolher esse dom precioso. Hoje a solenidade da Santíssima Trindade, revela-se a nós o amor do Pai por meio de seu Filho e comunicado pelo Espírito Santo. Essa solenidade celebra que Deus Pai, Filho e Espírito descem juntos ao encontro da humanidade.

Reflection
In today's text, Jesus reveals the reason for his coming into the world: God's love for humanity. The Son of God came so that people would have a full life; the required condition is faith in him, which implies giving him adherence. Receiving God's love is a challenge to human freedom, which can choose to accept or reject it. Only with people capable of loving can true communities that follow Jesus be built. God, in his Son, offers full life to all humanity. The latter is invited to accept this precious gift. Today the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity reveals to us the Father's love through his Son and communicated by the Holy Spirit. This solemnity celebrates that God the Father, Son and Spirit descend together to meet humanity.

Ó Santíssima Trindade: Pai e Filho e Espírito Santo, acolhei nossa filial adoração; volvei para nós o vosso olhar protetor e compassivo; fortalecei entre nós os vínculos da comunhão fraterna. A nossa vida se transforme em autêntico e permanente louvor a vós. Amém.

O Most Holy Trinity: Father and Son and Holy Spirit, welcome our filial adoration; let your protective and compassionate gaze return to us; strengthen the bonds of fraternal communion among us. May our life become authentic and permanent praise for you. Amen.
