1a.Leitura - At 5, 34-42Naqueles dias, 34 um fariseu chamado Gamaliel, levantou-se no Sinédrio. Era mestre da Lei e todo o povo o estimava. Gamaliel mandou que os acusados saíssem por um instante. 35 Depois disse: “Homens de Israel, vede bem o que estais para fazer contra esses homens. 36 Algum tempo atrás apareceu Teudas, que se fazia passar por uma pessoa importante, e a ele se juntaram cerca de quatrocentos homens. Depois ele foi morto e todos os que o seguiam debandaram, e nada restou. 37 Depois dele, no tempo do recenseamento, apareceu Judas, o galileu, que arrastou o povo atrás de si. Contudo, também ele morreu e todos os seus seguidores se dispersaram. 38 Quanto ao que está acontecendo agora, dou-vos um conselho: não vos preocupeis com esses homens e deixai-os ir embora. Porque, se este projeto ou esta atividade é de origem humana será destruído. 39 Mas, se vem de Deus, vós não conseguireis eliminá-los. Cuidado para não vos pordes em luta contra Deus!” E os membros do Sinédrio aceitaram o parecer de Gamaliel. 40 Chamaram então os apóstolos, mandaram açoitá-los, proibiram que eles falassem em nome de Jesus, e depois os soltaram. 41 Os apóstolos saíram do Conselho muito contentes por terem sido considerados dignos de injúrias, por causa do nome de Jesus. 42 E cada dia, no Templo e pelas casas, não cessavam de ensinar e anunciar o evangelho de Jesus Cristo.

Evangelho - Jo 6, 1-15

Mas o que é isso para tanta gente?” 10 Jesus disse: “Fazei sentar as pessoas”. Havia muita relva naquele lugar, e lá se sentaram, aproximadamente, cinco mil homens. 11 Jesus tomou os pães, deu graças e distribuiu-os aos que estavam sentados, tanto quanto queriam. E fez o mesmo com os peixes. 12 Quando todos ficaram satisfeitos, Jesus disse aos discípulos: “Recolhei os pedaços que sobraram, para que nada se perca!” 13 Recolheram os pedaços e encheram doze cestos com as sobras dos cinco pães, deixadas pelos que haviam comido. 14 Vendo o sinal que Jesus tinha realizado, aqueles homens exclamavam: “Este é verdadeiramente o Profeta, aquele que deve vir ao mundo”. 15 Mas, quando notou que estavam querendo levá-lo para proclamá-lo rei, Jesus retirou-se de novo, sozinho, para o monte.

Gospel - Jo 6, 1-15

Refletindo o Evangelho

Às vezes, as pessoas têm dificuldade com as novidades. O Evangelho era uma novidade para o mundo judeu, mas, hoje, ele está sendo inovado, vivido sobre diversas formas, e acaba sendo também novidade para muitos. As pessoas, muitas vezes, desagradam-se e opõem-se àquilo que é diferente de nós. Uma coisa é não ter afinidade com essa forma de vida, outra é opor-se à obra e à ação de Deus. Eu não me oponho a outras religiões. Quem sou para julgar ou condenar? Sei que preciso viver aquilo que eu creio, preciso testemunhar com a minha vida e viver bem o Evangelho que creio. Eu não sou um combatente de outras religiões, de outros seguimentos e formas de vida. Cada vez que vejo outras formas de vida, sou questionado a ser coerente naquilo que vivo e acredito. É claro que, de repente, eu possa ver coisas estranhas, diferentes em outros lugares, mas não posso me opor, não posso me achar o dono da verdade e achar que só quem pensa, crê, segue e reza como eu que está correto. Eu não posso impedir a criatividade de Deus. Muitas vezes, vamos sofrer para anunciar, viver e proclamar Jesus. Eu não posso ser a causa de sofrimento para o outro, mas eu sofro, porque estou anunciando Jesus. Os apóstolos sentiram uma alegria imensa por se considerarem dignos de serem injuriados e perseguidos por causa de Jesus. Que saibamos também encontrar a alegria da perseguição, da não aceitação, mas tudo isso, porque seguimos e servimos Jesus.

Reflecting the Gospel

Sometimes people have trouble with the news. The Gospel was a novelty for the Jewish world, but, today, he is being innovated, lived on various forms, and ends up being too new to many. People often dislike and oppose what is different from us. It's one thing not to have affinity with this way of life, it's another to oppose the work and action of God. I'm not opposed to other religions. Who am I to judge or condemn? I know I have to live what I believe, I have to testify with my life and live the Gospel that I believe. I'm not a fighter of other religions, other segments and forms of life. Every time I see other life forms, I'm asked to be consistent on what alive and believe. Of course, all of a sudden I can see strange things, different in other places, but I can't oppose, I can't find the owner of the truth and find that only those who think, believe, follow and pray as I do is correct. I can't stop the creativity of God. Many times, we suffer to announce, live and proclaim Jesus. I cannot be the cause of suffering for the other, but I suffer because I am announcing Jesus. The Apostles felt a joy for consider themselves worthy of being reviled and persecuted because of Jesus. We also find the joy of the Chase, the non-acceptance, but all this because we follow and serve Jesus.
