Gospel - Mt 26,14-25
At that time, 14 1 of the twelve disciples, called Judas Iscariot, went to the high priests, 15 and said: "will you give me if I deliver Jesus?" Combined, then, thirty pieces of silver. 16 and thereafter, Judas was looking for an opportunity to deliver Jesus. 17 on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples approached Jesus and asked: "Where do you want us to do the preparations to eat the Passover?" 18 Jesus answered: "go to the city, seek a certain man and tell him, ' the Teacher says, my time is near, I will celebrate the Passover at your House with my disciples. '" 19 the disciples did as Jesus commanded, and they prepared the Passover. 20 at sunset, Jesus stood at the table with the twelve disciples. 21 While they were eating, Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, one of you will betray me". 22 they were very sad and, one by one, began to ask him: "Lord, is it I?" 23 Jesus answered: "who's going to betray me is the one who puts his hand with me in the dish. 24 the son of man will die, as the Scripture has said about him. However, woe to him who betray the son of man! It would be better if you had never been born! " 25 Then Judas, the Betrayer, asked: "Master, is it I?" Jesus answered and said to him: "you say so".
