1st Reading - At3, 1-10
In those days, 1 Peter and John went up to the temple for prayer of 3:00 in the afternoon. 2 Then brought a man lame from birth, who used to put every day at the door of the temple, called Taiwan in order to to ask alms to those who entered. 3 when he saw Peter and John entering the temple, the man asked for a handout. 4 The two looked right at him and Panda said: "look at us!" 5 the man glared at them, expecting to receive something. 6 Peter said to him: "I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!" 7 and catching his right hand, Peter rose. At the same time, the feet and ankles of the man were firm. 8 Then he jumped, stood up and began to walk. And entered the temple along with Peter and John, walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 the people all saw the man walking and praising God. 10 and acknowledged that he was the same for alms, sitting at the door of the Taiwan temple. And were surprised and amazed by what had happened to him.
Evangelho - Lc 24, 13-35
Gospel - Lc 24, 13-35
13 in that same day, the first of the week, two of the disciples of Jesus were going to a village called Emmaus, eleven kilometers from Jerusalem. 14 they talked about all the things that had happened. 15 as they talked and discussed, Jesus himself approached and started walking with them. 16 the disciples, however, were as blind, and not recognized. 17 Then Jesus asked: "you talking the way?" They stopped, with the sad face, 18 and one of them, named Cleopas, said to him: "you're the only Pilgrim in Jerusalem who does not know what happened in these last few days? 19 He asked: "What was?" The disciples replied: "what happened to Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and Word before God and all the people. 20 Our high priests and our heads turned to be sentenced to death and crucified him. 21 we were hoping that he would free Israel, but, despite all this, it's been three days since all these things happened. 22 it is true that some women in our group gave us a scare. They were early in the morning to the Tomb 23 and found his body. Then came back, saying that they had seen angels and that they claimed that Jesus is alive. some of our 24 went to the tomb and found things just as the women had said. To him, however, no one saw him ". 25 then Jesus said to them: "As thou art without intelligence and slow to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 does the Christ should suffer all this for entering your glory? " 27 and beginning with Moses and the Prophets, he explained to his disciples all passages of Scripture that talked about him. 28 when they arrived near the village where they were going, Jesus did that account would later. 29 They, however, insisted to Jesus, saying, "stay with us, because it's late and the night comes coming!" Jesus came to stay with them. 30 when he sat at the table with them, he took bread, blessed it, broke it and distributed them. 31 That the disciples ' eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus. Jesus, however, disappeared from the front of them. 32 Then one said to the other: "I wasn't burning our heart when he spoke on the way, and explained the Scriptures?" 33 in that same time, they got up and went back to Jerusalem where they found the eleven gathered together with the others. 34 and they confirmed: "Truly, the Lord is risen and has appeared to Simon!" 35 So the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.
