Hosanna to the son of David - Mt 21, 1-11

Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 1 Jesus e seus discípulos aproximaram-se de Jerusalém e chegaram a Betfagé, no monte das Oliveiras. Então Jesus enviou dois discípulos, 2 dizendo-lhes: “Ide até o povoado que está ali na frente, e logo encontrareis uma jumenta amarrada, e com ela um jumentinho. Desamarrai-a e trazei-os a mim! 3 Se alguém vos disser alguma coisa, direis: ‘O Senhor precisa deles’, mas logo os devolverá’”. 4 Isso aconteceu para se cumprir o que foi dito pelo profeta: 5 Dizei à filha de Sião: Eis que o teu rei vem a ti, manso e montado num jumento, num jumentinho, num potro de jumenta”. 6 Então os discípulos foram e fizeram como Jesus lhes havia mandado. 7 Trouxeram a jumenta e o jumentinho e puseram sobre eles suas vestes, e Jesus montou. 8 A numerosa multidão estendeu suas vestes pelo caminho, enquanto outros cortavam ramos das árvores, e os espalhavam pelo caminho. 9 As multidões que iam na frente de Jesus e os que o seguiam, gritavam: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi! Bendito o que vem em nome do Senhor! Hosana no mais alto dos céus!” 10 Quando Jesus entrou em Jerusalém a cidade inteira se agitou, e diziam: “Quem é este homem?” 11 E as multidões respondiam: “Este é o profeta Jesus, de Nazaré da Galileia”.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 1J esus and his disciples approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, on the Mount of olives. Then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them: "go to the village that's parked out front, and soon you will find a colt tied, and a colt. Go-and bring them to me! 3 If someone tells you something, you will say, ' the Lord needs them, but soon will return ' ". 4 this happened to fulfill what was said through the Prophet: 5 tell the daughter of Zion: Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, a colt of Colt ". 6 Then the disciples went and did as Jesus had sent them. 7 brought the Colt and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and Jesus rode. 8 the great multitude spread their garments on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the way. 9 the multitudes who went ahead of Jesus and those who followed him, shouted: "Hosanna to the son of David! The blessed who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest of the heavens! " 10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city if agitated, and said: "Who is this man?" 11 and the crowds responded: "this is the Prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee."

Refletindo

Ele nasceu pobre, numa gruta e agora entra glorioso montado num jumento. É um animal tão simples, somente as pessoas simples usam o jumento. Ele não entra num cavalo de glória, não entra em um carro festivo e glorioso. Não! Ele entra na simplicidade e na humildade. É assim que o Senhor quer nos introduzir na Sua Páscoa, iniciar a Semana Santa, é assim também que Ele quer que vivamos o nosso mistério pascal! Não nos deixemos enveredar pelo sentido glorioso que o mundo traz para as coisas, pois a glória de Cristo está na simplicidade do coração. A glória do nosso Mestre está em não deixar-se iludir pelas fantasias deste mundo e nos portarmos, colocarmo-nos somente de forma alegórica e gloriosa. A glória do coração de Deus está naqueles que vivem a humildade em tudo que fazem! Por isso, se os homens querem reconhecer Jesus, que eu reconheça naquilo que Ele faz a cada dia: despoja-se de si mesmo, não se ilude com as riquezas e nem com as grandezas deste mundo. Um rei que entra triunfante, montando num jumentinho, é a este Rei que servimos! Este Rei é o Senhor da nossa vida! Caminhamos com Cristo na celebração da Sua Páscoa, buscando viver intensamente a humildade no nosso coração. Rejubilemos e aclamemos: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi!”. Que o nosso coração esteja despojado e despido de todo sentimento de grandeza, de glória e elevação para não perdermos os sentimentos de Cristo Jesus, Nosso Senhor.

He was born poor in a cave and now get glorious riding a donkey. Is an animal as simple, simple people only use the donkey. He did not enter a horse of glory, not a Festival car and glorious. No! He enters the simplicity and humility. That's the way the Lord wants us to introduce into Their Easter start Holy week, that's the way he wants us to live our Paschal mystery! Let us not go down the glorious sense that the world brings things, because the glory of Christ is in simplicity of heart. The glory of our master is in not letting yourself by fantasies of this world and do something wrong, get us only allegorical and glorious form. The glory of God's heart is in those who live the humility in everything you do! So if men want to recognize Jesus, I recognize what he does every day: divests itself of yourself, don't deceive with the riches and the values of this world. A King who enters triumphantly, riding on a colt, is this King who we serve. This King is the Lord of our life. Walk with Christ in the celebration of his Passover, seeking to live intensely the humility in our hearts. Let us rejoice and aclamemos: "Hosanna to the son of David!". Our heart is stripped and stripped of all sense of greatness, glory and elevation to keep the feelings of Christ Jesus, our Lord.
