Parábola de los talentos.
Evangelho

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 25,14-30 – At that time, Jesus told his disciples this parable: 14“A man was going to travel abroad. He called his employees and handed them his goods. 15To one he gave five talents, to another he gave two, and to the third one; to each according to his capacity. Then he traveled. 16The employee who had been given five talents soon left, worked with them, and made another five. 17In the same way, the one who had received two gained another two. 18But the one who had received only one went out, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master's money. 19After a long time, the boss came back and went to settle accounts with the employees. 20The employee who had been given five talents gave him five more, saying, 'Lord, you have given me five talents. Here are five more I made’. 21The master said to him: 'Well done, good and faithful servant! As you were faithful in managing so little, I will trust you much more. Come share in my joy!’ 22The one who had received two talents also arrived and said: ‘Lord, you have given me two talents. Here are two more that I made’. 23The master said to him: 'Well done, good and faithful servant! As you were faithful in managing so little, I will trust you much more. Come share in my joy!” 24At last the one who had received a talent came and said, “Lord, I know you are a severe man, for you reap where you have not planted and reap where you have not sowed. 25That's why I was scared and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what belongs to you'. 26The master answered him: 'Bad and lazy servant! Did you know that I reap where I didn't plant and that I reap where I didn't sow? 27Then you should have deposited my money in the bank, so that when I return, I may receive with interest what belongs to me.' 28Then the master commanded, ‘Take away his talent and give it to him who has ten! 29For to everyone who has more will be given, and he will have plenty, but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken from him. 30As for this useless servant, cast him out into the darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there!'” – Word of salvation.
